耶和华对我说：

耶和华这样说：“你去跟陶匠买一个瓦瓶，要带着几位人民的长老和年长的祭司，

耶和華對我說：

耶和華這樣說：“你去跟陶匠買一個瓦瓶，要帶著幾位人民的長老和年長的祭司，

耶和華曰、往購陶人之缾、導祭司及民之長老數人、

耶和華告我曰、當取陶器、招民長、祭司長、咸集。

主如是云、爾購陶人所製之瓦瓶、又召民間長老、與祭司長老數人、

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests

The Lord said to Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people. Also tell some of the priests to go with you.

Thus says the Lord,“ Go, buy a potter’s earthenware flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests,

This is what the Lord said to me:“ Go and buy a clay jar. Then ask some of the leaders of the people and of the priests to follow you.

This is what the LORD says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a potter’s earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests.

Thus says the Lord:“ Go and get a potter’s earthen flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests.

Thus said Jehovah, Go, and buy a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

This is what the Lord says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter’s earthen bottle, and[ take] of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take with you some of the leaders of the people and some of the leaders of the priests.

Thus said Yahweh,“ Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

站在這些像面前的有以色列家的長老七十個人，沙番的兒子雅撒尼亞也站在他們中間；各人手裏都拿着他的香爐；煙雲的香氣直往上騰。他對我說：『人子啊，以色列家的長老各在自己鏨像的屋裏暗中所行的、你看見了沒有？他們常說：「永恆主看不見我們；永恆主已經離棄了這地了。」』

永恆主對摩西說：『你要從以色列長老中聚集七十個人、就是你所知道做人民的長老和官吏的、到我這裏來，領他們到會棚前，叫他們和你一同站在那裏。

主必毁壞它，像窰匠的瓦器之被毁壞，砸到碎碎，毫不顧惜，甚至碎塊中也找不到一片瓦，可以用來從燒炭中去取火，從沼池中去舀水的。』

『你起來，下窰匠的工廠去，在那裏我要使你聽到我的話。』我便下窰匠的工廠去；見他正在那裏用輪盤旋轉而作工呢。窰匠用泥作的器皿若在他手中壞了，他就再用這泥作別的器皿，照窰匠所看為對的去作。

錫安的兒女很寶貴，可與鍊淨的金評價，怎麼竟被算為瓦瓶，窰匠之手所作的啊！

但我們有這寶貝在瓦器裏，是要顯明這能力之無量高超是屬於上帝，不是出於我們。

他打發管家以利亞敬、祕書舍伯那和祭司中的長老、都披上麻布，去見亞摩斯的兒子、神言人以賽亞；

那時祭司長和民間的長老聚集在稱為該亞法的大祭司院子裏，

要將年老的、年壯的、和處女、幼小的和婦女、全都殺掉滅盡，從聖所殺起；但凡有刀字記號的、你們可別觸害着。』於是他們從聖殿面前做長老的人殺起。

他們發現了以利亞撒子孫中為人首領的，比以他瑪子孫中的多，就把他們分配起來：屬以利亞撒子孫為首領的、按他們父系的家屬有十六人，屬以他瑪子孫的、按他們父系的家屬有八人。他們憑拈鬮把他們分配起來，彼此同樣；因為以利亞撒的子孫中和以他瑪的子孫中都有人在聖所做首領、或是在上帝面前做首領的。做祕書的利未人拿坦業的兒子示瑪雅在王面前、和首領們跟祭司撒督、亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒、跟祭司和利未人父系家屬的族長面前、記錄下來；屬以利亞撒的有一個父系的家屬被選取了，屬以他瑪的也有一個被選取。

到了早晨，眾祭司長和民間的長老商議怎樣陷害耶穌、來治死他；

祭司長同經學士和長老也都這樣戲弄着說：『別人他救了；自己呢、他不能救！他是以色列王；如今讓他從十字架上下來吧！我們就信他。

『你要將那瓦瓶摔破，讓跟你同去的人親眼看見，對他們說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我必照樣破毁這人民和這城，正如人摔破窰匠的瓦器一樣，是不能再補好的。人必在陀斐特埋葬死人，因為別處沒有地方埋葬。

「萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：要將這兩聯契券，這蓋印封好了的購買契券、和這敞着的契券、放在一個瓦器裏，好存留着許多年日。

到第二天、民間的議員、長老和經學士、就在耶路撒冷聚集。大祭司亞拿、和該亞法、約拿單、亞力山大、以及所有屬於大祭司家族的人、都在座。

地方上的長老就有幾個人起來，對人民全體大眾說：
