你們若認真實行這事，就必有坐大衛寶座的王，他們跟他們的臣僕和平民，或坐車、或騎馬、進入這王宮之各門的。

不，你們上了的乃是錫安山、永活上帝的城、天上的耶路撒冷，那裏有千千萬萬的天使、

『這一日要給你們做記念日：你們要守為敬拜永恆主的節；要世世代代地守，作為永遠的條例。

那你就要對他們說：「永恆主這麼說：看吧！我必使這地所有的居民，使那坐大衛寶座的列王、祭司和神言人、以及耶路撒冷所有的居民、都充滿了沉醉。

至於你呢，你如果以純全的心正正直直地行於我面前，像你父親大衛那樣行：照我一切所吩咐你的去作，謹守我的律例典章，那麼我就立定你國的王位、來管理以色列到永遠；正如我在關於你父親大衛的事上曾應許說：「你的子孫必總不斷有人在以色列的王位上。」

永恆主真地向大衛起誓過，他必不反覆變卦：他說：『你腹中出的果子、我必使其一位坐你寶座。你兒子們若守我的約、和我所教訓他們守的法度，他們的子孫也必永永遠遠坐你的寶座。』因為永恆主揀選了錫安，願意它做自己的幕所：他說：『這是我永永遠遠的安居所；我要在這裏坐着為王，因為我中意它。

大衛擄獲了他的馬兵一千七百，步兵二萬。大衛將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，卻留下一百輛車的馬沒有砍斷。

他說：『那要管理你們、的王、其制度是這樣：他必取你們的兒子，派他們為他趕車，做他的馬兵，在他的車前奔走。

我必使他的後裔永久存在，使他的王位如天之壽命。倘若他子孫撇棄了我的律法，不照我的典章而行；倘若他們瀆犯了我的律例，不遵守我的誡命，我就用刑杖察罰他們的過犯，用鞭子責罰他們的罪孽；但我的堅愛、我必不向他除掉，我必不使我的可信可靠變成了詐偽。我必不瀆犯我的約，我嘴裏所說出的、我必不更改。我儘一次地指着自己的至聖來起誓：我決不向大衛說謊。他的後裔必存到永遠，他的王位在我面前必如日之恆，如月亮之永遠堅立，如天空之長久確定。』（細拉）

不過王卻不可為自己加多馬匹，也不可使人民回埃及去、以便加多馬匹，因為永恆主曾對你們說過：「你們永遠不可再回那條路去。」

『這一位必成為大，必稱為至高者的兒子，主上帝必將他祖大衛的王位給他；他必掌王權管理雅各家、萬世無窮；他的國必沒有終結。』

永恆主這麼說：『要把這個人登記為無子嗣位的，是儘他一生日子都不亨通順利的，因為他後裔中無一人亨通順利能坐大衛寶座，或再統治猶大的。』
