如果你们切实地行这些事，就必有坐大卫王位的列王，乘着车，骑着马，与自己的臣仆和人民进入这王宫的各门。

你们却是来到锡安山和永活的神的城，就是天上的耶路撒冷；在那里有千万的天使聚集，

这一日必作你们的记念日；你们要守这日为耶和华的节；你们要世世代代守这节日作永远的定例。

你就要对他们说：‘耶和华这样说：看哪！我要使这地所有的居民，就是那些坐大卫王位的君王，以及祭司、先知和耶路撒冷所有的居民，都完全醉倒。

至于你，如果你像你父亲大卫那样，存诚实和正直的心在我面前行事为人，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，谨守我的律例和典章，我就必坚固你统治以色列的国位，直到永远，正如我应许你父亲大卫说：‘你的子孙，总不断有人坐以色列的王位。

耶和华实实在在向大卫起了誓，他必不会收回，他说：“我要从你的后裔中，立一位坐在你的王位上。如果你的子孙谨守我的约，和我教训他们的法度，他们的子孙也必永远坐在你的王位上。”因为耶和华拣选了锡安，定意把它当作自己的居所。他说：“这是我永远安息的居所；我要住在这里，因为我定意这样作。

大卫从他那里掳获了战车一千辆，骑兵七千（按照《马索拉文本》，“骑兵七千”作“骑兵一千七百”，现按《七十士译本》翻译；参《死海古卷》和代上18:4），步兵二万，大卫把所有战车的马的蹄筋都砍断。只留下一百辆战车的马。（“大卫把所有战车的马的蹄筋都砍断，只留下一百辆战车的马”或译：“大卫毁坏了所有战车，只留下一百辆战车”）

说：“那要统治你们的王将这样治理你们：他必征用你们的儿子，派他们作他的战车兵、骑兵、在车前奔走的前锋，

我要使他的后裔存到永远，使他的王位好像天一样长久。如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照着我的典章而行；如果他们违背我的律例，不遵守我的诫命，我就用杖责罚他们的过犯，用鞭责罚他们的罪孽。但我必不把我的慈爱从他身上收回，也必不背弃我的信实。我必不违背我的约，也不改变我口中所出的话。我断然指着自己的圣洁起誓，说：‘我决不向大卫说谎。他的后裔必存到永远，他的王位在我面前必像太阳长存，又像月亮永远坚立，作天上确实的见证。’”（细拉）

只是君王不可为自己加添马匹，也不可使人民回埃及去，为要加添马匹，因为耶和华曾经对你们说过：‘你们不可再回到那条路去。’

他将要被尊为大，称为至高者的儿子，主神要把他祖大卫的王位赐给他，他要作王统治雅各家，直到永远，他的国没有穷尽。”

耶和华这样说：“你们要写下，这人算为无子，他的一生毫无成就；因为他的后裔中没有一人可以成功，能坐在大卫的王位上，再次统治犹大。”
