“ You must not marry and have sons or daughters in this place.”

I think, then, that this is good in view of the present distress, that it is good for a man to remain as he is.Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Are you released from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

For behold, days are coming when they will say,‘ Blessed are those who cannot bear, and the wombs that have not given birth, and the breasts that have not nursed.’

Woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people;
