耶和華你們的神還沒有使黑暗臨到以前，你們的腳還沒有在昏暗的山上絆倒之前，你們要把榮耀歸給他。你們期待光明，他卻把光明變為死蔭，使光明變成黝黑。

Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom.

Give glory to the Lord your God. Honor him before he sends darkness to cover the land. Do this before you trip and fall on the darkened hills. You hope that light will come. But he will turn it into thick darkness. He will change it to deep shadows.

他們仰臉向天觀望，又俯視大地，只見困苦、黑暗、可怕的幽暗；他們必被趕入幽黑的黑暗中。

因此，公平遠離我們，公義趕不上我們，我們指望亮光，不料，卻是黑暗。我們指望光明，卻行在幽暗中！

約書亞對亞干說：“我兒，我勸你把榮耀歸給耶和華以色列的神，向他認罪，告訴我你作了甚麼事，不可向我隱瞞。”

惡人的道路幽暗，他們不知道自己因甚麼跌倒。

看哪！黑暗遮蓋大地，幽暗遮蔽萬民；但耶和華要升起來照耀你，他的榮耀要彰顯在你身上。

到那日，他們要向以色列人咆哮，像海浪的澎湃聲一樣；人若望著這地，就只見黑暗與災難；光在雲中也成了黑暗。

但你竟在野狗之地把我們壓傷了，又以死亡的陰影籠罩我們。

所以你們要做痔瘡的像和毀壞田地的老鼠的像，還要把榮耀歸給以色列的神。也許他會向你們、你們的神和你們的田地手下留情。

“到那日，這是耶和華的宣告：我必使太陽在正午落下，在白晝使地變成昏暗。“我必使你們歡樂的節期變為悲哀的日子，把你們的歌聲都變為哀哭。我必使你們各人腰束麻帶，頭都剃光了；我必使你們悲哀，好像喪了獨生子，自始至終都是痛苦的。

列國的萬族啊！你們要歸給耶和華，要把榮耀和能力歸給耶和華。要把耶和華的名當得的榮耀歸給他，帶著禮物進入他的院子。

“因此，他們的路必像滑地；他們必被趕逐到黑暗中，必在那裡仆倒。因為到了懲罰他們的年日，我必使災禍臨到他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要向天舉手，使黑暗臨到埃及地，這黑暗是可以觸摸的。”

在你壯年的日子，當記念你的創造主。不要等到衰敗的日子，就是你所說：“我毫無喜樂”的那些年日臨到，日頭、光明、月亮、星宿變暗，雨後烏雲再現的時候。

我觀看地，地是空虛混沌；我仰視天，天上也全然無光。

我們期待平安，卻得不到好處；期待得醫治的時候，不料，只有驚慌。

它又“作了絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石。”他們跌倒是因為不順從這道，他們這樣是必然的。

我們徒然等待幫助，等到雙目失去視力；我們在瞭望臺上期望一個不能拯救我們的國家來臨。

人無論多長壽，都當樂在其中，不過他要想到黑暗的日子，因為這些日子將會很多；要來的，都是虛空的。

耶穌說：“光在你們中間的時間不多了。你們應當趁著有光的時候行走，免得黑暗追上你們。在黑暗中行走的人，不知道往哪裡去。

你真的棄絕猶大嗎？你真的討厭錫安嗎？你為甚麼擊打我們，使我們無法醫治呢？我們期待平安，卻得不到好處；期待得醫治的時候，不料，只有驚慌。
