They will sow wheat but reap thorns; they will wear themselves out but gain nothing. They will bear the shame of their harvest because of the Lord’s fierce anger.”

People will plant wheat. But all they will gather is thorns. They will wear themselves out. But they will not have anything to show for it. I am very angry with them. So they will be ashamed of the crop they gather.”

你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；得工钱的，将工钱装在破漏的囊中。”

你带到田间的种子虽多，收进来的却少，因为被蝗虫吃了。

我待你们就要这样：我必命定惊惶，叫眼目干瘪、精神消耗的痨病热病辖制你们。你们也要白白地撒种，因为仇敌要吃你们所种的。

你们为何花钱买那不足为食物的？用劳碌得来的买那不使人饱足的呢？你们要留意听我的话就能吃那美物，得享肥甘，心中喜乐。

众民所劳碌得来的被火焚烧，列国由劳乏而得的归于虚空，不都是出于万军之耶和华吗？

我观看，不料，肥田变为荒地；一切城邑在耶和华面前，因他的烈怒都被拆毁。”

耶和华发出猛烈的怒气，平安的羊圈就都寂静无声。他离了隐密处像狮子一样，他们的地，因刀剑凶猛的欺压，又因他猛烈的怒气都成为可惊骇的。”

你们现今所看为羞耻的事，当日有什么果子呢？那些事的结局就是死。

耶和华说：“祸哉！这悖逆的儿女。他们同谋，却不由于我，结盟，却不由于我的灵，以致罪上加罪；起身下埃及去，并没有求问我；要靠法老的力量加添自己的力量，并投在埃及的荫下。所以，法老的力量必作你们的羞辱；投在埃及的荫下，要为你们的惭愧。他们的首领已在琐安；他们的使臣到了哈内斯。他们必因那不利于他们的民蒙羞。那民并非帮助，也非利益，只作羞耻凌辱。”论南方牲畜的默示：他们把财物驮在驴驹的脊背上，将宝物驮在骆驼的肉鞍上，经过艰难困苦之地，就是公狮、母狮、蝮蛇、火焰的飞龙之地，往那不利于他们的民那里去。

在那一切日子，有人来到谷堆，想得二十斗，只得了十斗。有人来到酒池，想得五十桶，只得了二十桶。在你们手下的各样工作上，我以旱风、霉烂、冰雹攻击你们，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。

仰望从小山或从大山的喧嚷中得帮助，真是枉然的。以色列得救，诚然在乎耶和华我们的神。从我们幼年以来，那可耻的偶像将我们列祖所劳碌得来的羊群、牛群，和他们的儿女都吞吃了。我们在羞耻中躺卧吧！愿惭愧将我们遮盖；因为从立国以来，我们和我们的列祖常常得罪耶和华我们的神，没有听从耶和华我们神的话。”

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，是因仗赖马匹，倚靠甚多的车辆，并倚靠强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧；他必降灾祸，并不反悔自己的话，却要兴起攻击那作恶之家，又攻击那作孽帮助人的。埃及人不过是人，并不是神；他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，那受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。
