But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”

基甸對他們說：『我不管理你們，我兒子也不管理你們，只有永恆主管理你們。』

其田曰、我不治爾、子孫亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也。

基甸對曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者惟主、

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you. My son won’t rule over you either. The Lord will rule over you.”

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon replied,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The Lord will rule over you!

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the LORD will rule over you.”

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”

And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: Jehovah shall rule over you.

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The LORD will rule over you.”

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. Yahweh shall rule over you.”

But today you have rejected your God, who saves you from all your catastrophes and your distresses; yet you have said,‘ No, but put a king over us!’ Now then, present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your groups of thousands.”

But when you saw that Nahash the king of the sons of Ammon was coming against you, you said to me,‘ No, but a king shall reign over us!’ Yet the Lord your God was your king.

For the Lord is our judge, The Lord is our lawgiver, The Lord is our king; He will save us—

And a dispute also developed among them as to which one of them was regarded as being the greatest.And He said to them,“ The kings of the Gentiles domineer over them; and those who have authority over them are called‘ Benefactors.’But it is not this way for you; rather, the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.

nor yet as domineering over those assigned to your care, but by proving to be examples to the flock.

Not that we domineer over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy; for in your faith you are standing firm.

We have become like those over whom You have never ruled, Like those who were not called by Your name.

And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another,“ Who is the man who will begin to fight against the sons of Ammon? He shall become head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said,“ Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.

So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead,“ If you bring me back to fight against the sons of Ammon and the Lord gives them up to me, will I become your head?”And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah,“ The Lord is witness between us; be assured we will do as you have said.”Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and leader over them; and Jephthah spoke all his words before the Lord at Mizpah.

And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who tormented and oppressed them.
