The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.

The Midianites had set up their camp in the valley. So had the Amalekites and all the other tribes from the east. There were so many of them that they looked like huge numbers of locusts. Like the grains of sand on the seashore, their camels couldn’t be counted.

And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the people of the East lay along the valley like locusts in abundance, and their camels were without number, as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance.

The armies of Midian, Amalek, and the people of the east had settled in the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels were like grains of sand on the seashore— too many to count!

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and all the people of the east had settled down in the valley like a swarm of locusts, and their camels were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, the Amalekites, and all the people of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east covered the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels could not be counted; they were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

The Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like locusts for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand which is on the seashore for multitude.

那时，西巴和撒慕拿率领东方各族的残余军队一万五千人驻扎在加各，因为已经有十二万刀兵被杀。

入侵者带着牲畜和帐篷像蝗虫一样涌来，人和骆驼不计其数，摧毁了整个地区。

这些王便率领自己的军队，带着许多马匹和战车倾巢出动，人数多如海边的沙。

每当他们撒种的时候，米甸人、亚玛力人及东方人就前来进犯，

耶和华啊，我的敌人何其多！反对我的人何其多！

列国啊，你们必被打垮、击溃！远方的人啊，你们要听！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！你们设计谋吧，但休想得逞！你们定策略吧，但休想成功！因为上帝与我们同在。

君王不能靠兵多取胜，勇士不能凭力大获救。

列国围住我，但我靠着耶和华消灭了他们。他们四面围住我，但我靠着耶和华消灭了他们。他们如蜜蜂围住我，然而他们必像燃烧的荆棘，转瞬消逝；我靠着耶和华必消灭他们。

那时，米甸人、亚玛力人及东方人一起过了约旦河，在耶斯列的平原安营。

他的智慧高过东方人和埃及人的一切智慧，

古实王谢拉率领一百万大军和三百辆战车攻打犹大，到了玛利沙。亚撒出兵迎敌，双方在玛利沙的洗法谷摆开阵势。亚撒呼求他的上帝耶和华说：“耶和华啊，唯有你才能帮助弱小的胜过强大的。我们的上帝耶和华啊，求你帮助我们，因为我们依靠你，奉你的名迎战这大军。耶和华啊，你是我们的上帝，不要让人胜过你。”于是，耶和华使古实人败在亚撒和犹大人面前，古实人溃逃。
