And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by my hand, as thou hast spoken,

Gideon said to God,“ If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised—

Gideon said to God,“ You promised you would use me to save Israel.

Then Gideon said to God,“ If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,

Then Gideon said to God,“ If you are truly going to use me to rescue Israel as you promised,

Then Gideon said to God,“ If you will deliver Israel by me, as you said,

Then Gideon said to God,“ If You are going to save Israel through me, as You have spoken,

So Gideon said to God,“ If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said—

Then Gideon said to God,“ If You will deliver Israel by my hand, as You said,

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Gideon said to God,“ If you really intend to use me to deliver Israel, as you promised, then give me a sign as proof.

Gideon said to God,“ If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken,

And Jehovah looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian: have not I sent thee?

Like as a father pitieth his children, So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.For he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.

And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice; for they will say, Jehovah hath not appeared unto thee.And Jehovah said unto him, What is that in thy hand? And he said, A rod.And he said, Cast in on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put forth thy hand, and take it by the tail:( and he put forth his hand, and laid hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand:)That they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.And Jehovah said furthermore unto him, Put now thy hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.And he said, Put thy hand into thy bosom again.( And he put his hand into his bosom again; and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.)And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe even these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

And Isaiah said, This shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?

And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and trying him asked him to show them a sign from heaven.

And he said unto him, If now I have found favor in thy sight, then show me a sign that it is thou that talkest with me.Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and lay it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
