Then all Israel from Dan to Beersheba and from the land of Gilead came together as one and assembled before the Lord in Mizpah.

Then all the Israelites came out. They came from the whole land between Dan and Beersheba. They also came from the land of Gilead. All of them gathered together in front of the Lord at Mizpah.

Then all the people of Israel came out, from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the Lord at Mizpah.

Then all the Israelites were united as one man, from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south, including those from across the Jordan in the land of Gilead. The entire community assembled in the presence of the Lord at Mizpah.

所有的军官和属他们的人听见巴比伦王立了基大利作省长，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利、加利亚的儿子约哈难、尼陀法人单户蔑的儿子西莱雅、玛迦人的儿子雅撒尼亚，和属他们的人，都来到米斯巴的基大利那里。

众百姓都起来如同一人，说：“我们谁也不回自己的帐棚，谁也不回自己的家去！

以色列各支派中众百姓的领袖，都站在上帝百姓的会中。拿刀的步兵共有四十万。

吕便子孙和迦得子孙的牲畜极其众多。他们看到雅谢地和基列地；看哪，这是可牧放牲畜的地方。

他把一对牛切成小块，吩咐使者传送到以色列全境，说：“凡不出来跟随扫罗和撒母耳的，就必这样待他的牛。”耶和华使百姓惧怕，他们就都出来如同一人。扫罗在比色数点他们：以色列人有三十万，犹大人有三万。

“若你听见人说，在耶和华—你上帝所赐给你居住的城镇中的一座，有些无赖之徒从你中间出来，引诱本城的居民，说：‘我们去事奉别神吧。’那是你们不认识的，你就要调查，探听，细心询问。看哪，是真的，确实有这可憎的事在你中间发生，你务必用刀杀那城里的居民，把城里所有的，连牲畜都用刀灭尽。你要把从城里所夺取的一切财物堆在广场中，用火将那城和其中夺取的一切财物全烧给耶和华—你的上帝。那城要永远成为废墟，不得重建。那当毁灭的物一点都不可粘你的手，好让耶和华转回，不向你发烈怒，却恩待你，怜悯你，照他向你列祖所起的誓使你人数增多；因为你听从耶和华—你上帝的话，遵守我今日所吩咐你的一切诫命，行耶和华—你上帝眼中看为正的事。”
