約拿單未聞其父向民所誓者、手執杖、以杖頭濡蜜、回手入於口、目即明矣、民中一人謂之曰、爾父曾向民發誓曰、凡今日食物物原文作餅者、願其見詛、因此民俱困憊、約拿單曰、我父累斯地矣、試觀我稍嘗此蜜、我目即明、

既食乃健、掃羅在大瑪色、偕門徒同居數日、

又予之無花果餅一片、乾葡萄二穗、既食、精力復舊、蓋彼三晝夜未嘗飲食、

王謂神人曰、請偕我入室就席、就席或作憩息我欲餽爾禮物、

又使百穀從地而生、使有酒能悅人心、有油能澤人面、有糧能養人之心氣、

耶穌曰、遵遣我者之旨而完其功、是乃我之糧也、
