大卫回到耶路撒冷的宫里，把从前留下来看守王宫的十个妃嫔关进冷宫，供养她们，却不再和她们同房。她们像寡妇一样在软禁中度过余生。

拿鹤的妾流玛生了提八、迦含、他辖和玛迦。

以法莲山区住了一个名叫米迦的人。

大卫从希伯仑迁到耶路撒冷以后，又选立妃嫔，生了更多的儿女。

约押就进到屋里，对王说：“你的仆人们救了你和你妻妾儿女的性命，你今天却使他们感到羞愧。

她晚上进去，次日被带到另一个女宫，交给管理妃嫔的太监沙甲。除非王喜欢她，提名召见她，否则她不会再见到王。

上帝不是把你们结合为一体，叫你们肉体和心灵都归祂吗？祂为何这样做？是为了得敬虔的后裔。所以，你们要小心谨慎，不可对自己的发妻不忠。

拉结死后就葬在通往以法他的路旁，以法他即伯利恒。

罗波安共有十八个妻子、六十个妾、二十八个儿子、六十个女儿。众妻妾中玛迦最得宠爱，

以色列人把他葬在他的土地上，就是在迦实山北边、以法莲山区的亭拿·西拉。

于是，他们便为押沙龙在殿顶盖了一座帐篷，他就当着所有以色列人的面与父亲的妃嫔同寝。

“‘犹大地区的伯利恒啊！你在犹大各城中并不是最小的，因为有一位君王要从你那里出来，牧养我的以色列子民。’”

他趁自己还在世的时候，把一些礼物送给他的妾所生的儿子们，让他们离开他的儿子以撒到东方去。
