So the Danites sent five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol to spy out the land and explore it. These men represented all the Danites. They told them,“ Go, explore the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim and came to the house of Micah, where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent out five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol. They told the men to look over the land and check it out. Those men did it for all the people of Dan. Those people told the men,“ Go. Check out the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim. They went to the house of Micah. That’s where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent five able men from the whole number of their tribe, from Zorah and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it. And they said to them,“ Go and explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

So the men of Dan chose from their clans five capable warriors from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol to scout out a land for them to settle in. When these warriors arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, they came to Micah’s house and spent the night there.

So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them,“ Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.

So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it; and they said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and stayed overnight there.

在瑪哈尼但（也即是在瑣拉）與以實陶之間、永恆主的靈開始攪動參孫。

五人來到瑣拉和以實陶見他們的族弟兄；族弟兄問他們說：『你們怎麼啦？』

摩西打發他們去窺探迦南地，對他們說：『你們這就要從這裏取道南地上去，直上山地。

他對他說：『我們從猶大、伯利恆過來、要到以法蓮山地的儘邊；我原是那裏的人；我到了猶大、伯利恆；現在要回家去，也沒有人接我進他的家。

計畫要憑籌謀而立定；作戰要憑着智謀。

或是哪一個王要去同別的王交戰，豈不先坐下計議，能不能用一萬人去敵那領二萬來攻打他的呢？

當以色列中沒有王的日子，有一個利未人寄居在以法蓮山地的儘邊；他從猶大的伯利恆娶了一個女子為妾。

約瑟記起從前所作關於他們的夢，就對他們說：『你們是探子，來看這地不設防之情形的。』

他們產業的地界乃是瑣拉、以實陶、伊珥示麥、

約書亞對他們說：『如果你們族民多，嫌以法蓮山地窄小，就可以上森林裏、在比利洗人利乏音人之地那裏自己砍樹木。』約瑟的子孫說：『那山地容不下我們，並且住山谷之地所有的迦南人、就是住伯善和屬伯善廂鎮的人、以及住耶斯列山谷的人、都有鐵車。』約書亞對約瑟家、以法蓮和瑪拿西人、說：『你們族民多，並且大有勢力，不可只有一鬮之地；山地也要歸於你們；雖是森林，你們也可以砍下來；它的邊界也可以歸於你們；迦南人雖有鐵車，雖然強大，你們也能把他們趕出。』

那時有一個瑣拉人、屬但人的家族，名叫瑪挪亞；他妻子不能生育，沒有生孩子。

參孫的弟兄和他父系的全家屬都下來，收殮他，抬上去埋葬在瑣拉和以實陶之間，在他父親瑪挪亞的墳墓裏。參孫作了士師二十年來拯救以色列。以法蓮山地有一個人名叫米迦；
