The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said,“ You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son.

The angel of the Lord appeared to Manoah’s wife. He said,“ You are not able to have children. But you are going to become pregnant. You will have a baby boy.

And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said,“ I have asked for him from the Lord.”

And he said,“ At this season, about this time next year, you shall embrace a son.” And she said,“ No, my lord, O man of God; do not lie to your servant.”

Then the woman came and told her husband,“ A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of God, very awesome. I did not ask him where he was from, and he did not tell me his name,

So the woman ran quickly and told her husband,“ Behold, the man who came to me the other day has appeared to me.”

I will bless her, and moreover, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she shall become nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.”

The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur.And he said,“ Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?” She said,“ I am fleeing from my mistress Sarai.”The angel of the Lord said to her,“ Return to your mistress and submit to her.”The angel of the Lord also said to her,“ I will surely multiply your offspring so that they cannot be numbered for multitude.”And the angel of the Lord said to her,“ Behold, you are pregnant and shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, because the Lord has listened to your affliction.He shall be a wild donkey of a man, his hand against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God of seeing,” for she said,“ Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.”

And he came to her and said,“ Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!”But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be.And the angel said to her,“ Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”And Mary said to the angel,“ How will this be, since I am a virgin?”And the angel answered her,“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy— the Son of God.And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.For nothing will be impossible with God.”And Mary said,“ Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
