For three hundred years Israel occupied Heshbon, Aroer, the surrounding settlements and all the towns along the Arnon. Why didn’t you retake them during that time?

For 300 years Israel has been living in Heshbon and Aroer. They have been living in the settlements around those cities. They have also been living in all the towns along the Arnon River. Why didn’t you take those places back during that time?

While Israel lived in Heshbon and its villages, and in Aroer and its villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, 300 years, why did you not deliver them within that time?

“ Israel has been living here for 300 years, inhabiting Heshbon and its surrounding settlements, all the way to Aroer and its settlements, and in all the towns along the Arnon River. Why have you made no effort to recover it before now?

While Israel lived three hundred years in Heshbon and Aroer and their surrounding villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, why didn’t you take them back at that time?

Israel has been living in Heshbon and its nearby towns, in Aroer and its nearby towns, and in all the cities along the Arnon for three hundred years! Why did you not reclaim them during that time?

从亚嫩谷旁边的亚罗珥和谷中的城，直到基列，没有一座城太高，是我们不能攻下的；耶和华我们的神把这一切都交给我们了。

我们把这些都灭尽，像从前我们待希实本王西宏一样，把各城中的男女和小孩子都灭尽。

约书亚和这些王作战了很多的日子。

陀拉治理以色列人二十三年，就死了，埋葬在沙密。在他之后，有基列人睚珥兴起治理以色列人二十二年。

还有在希实本作王的亚摩利人的王西宏所有的城镇，直到亚扪人的境界；

以色列人夺取了这一切城，也住在亚摩利人的各城，就是希实本，与属于希实本的一切村庄。这希实本是亚摩利人的王西宏的京城；西宏曾经与摩押以前的王交战，从他手中夺去了所有的地，直到亚嫩河。因此诗人说：“你们来到希实本！愿西宏的城被重建，愿西宏的城坚立。因为有火从希实本发出，有火焰从西宏的城冒出，吞灭了摩押的亚珥，烧毁了亚嫩河的高冈（按照《马索拉文本》，“烧毁了亚嫩河的高冈”作“亚嫩河的高冈上的业主”﹔现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。摩押啊，你有祸了，基抹的民哪，你们灭亡了；基抹使自己的男子逃亡，使自己的女子被掳，交给了亚摩利人的王西宏。我们射击他们，希实本就毁灭，直到底本。我们使地荒凉，直到挪法，挪法直伸到米底巴。”

从那一年起，他们就迫害欺压以色列人，就是所有在约旦河东边，住在亚摩利人之地的以色列人，共十八年。

现在你要起来，出发，过亚嫩谷；看哪，我已经把亚摩利人希实本王西宏和他的土地，交在你的手里了；你要开始占领那地作产业，与他争战。

于是国中太平了四十年。后来基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂死了。

这样，从那天起，摩押就在以色列人的手下被制伏了，于是国中太平了八十年。

耶和华使以色列人得享平安，不受四围仇敌的骚扰，已经有一段很长的日子；约书亚已经老了，年纪不小了。

耶和华啊，愿你所有的仇敌都这样灭亡；愿爱他的人像太阳出现，大有能力。”于是国中太平了四十年。

亚比米勒治理以色列人三年。

这两个王，一个是住在希实本的亚摩利人的王西宏；他管辖的地区，是从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥起，包括山谷中部和基列的一半，直到雅博河，就是亚扪人的境界；

耶和华对我说：‘你不要怕他，因为我已经把他和他的众民，以及他的土地，都交在你的手里；你要待他，像从前你待希实本的亚摩利人的王西宏一样。’

他管辖的地区，是黑门山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和玛迦人的境界，还有基列的一半，直到希实本王西宏的境界。

这样，米甸人在以色列人面前就被制伏了，不能再抬起头来；基甸在世的日子，国中太平了四十年。
