And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

對他說：「耶弗他如此說：以色列並沒有佔據摩押地和亞捫人的地。

對他說：「以色列人並沒有佔據摩押和亞捫的土地。

對他說：“耶弗他這樣說：‘以色列人並沒有奪取過摩押地和亞捫人的土地。

對他說：『耶弗他這麼說：「以色列並沒有取過摩押地和亞捫人之地呀。

耶弗他云、摩押及亞捫人之地、以色列人未嘗奪之、

耶弗大云摩押與亞捫族之地、以色列族未嘗奪之。

謂之曰、耶弗他如是云、以色列人未嘗佔據摩押地、及亞捫人之地、

saying:“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

They said,“ Here is what Jephthah says to you. Israel didn’t take the land of Moab. They didn’t take the land of Ammon.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites,

“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not steal any land from Moab or Ammon.

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

and they said to him,“ This is what Jephthah says:‘ Israel did not take the land of Moab nor the land of the sons of Ammon.

and said to him,“ Thus says Jephthah:‘ Israel did not take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the people of Ammon;

and he said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah: Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

to tell him,“ This is what Jephthah says: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites.

and said to him,“ This is what Jephthah says,‘ Israel did not steal the land of Moab and the land of the Ammonites.

and he said to him,“ Jephthah says: Israel didn’t take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon;

And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land[ for] a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot[ for] a possession.

And[ when] thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon[ any] possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot[ for] a possession.

From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which[ is] in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon[ is] the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab,[ and] the lords of the high places of Arnon.Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which[ reacheth] unto Medeba.

And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
