非言自能有所揆度、我之能由上帝而已、

我上帝耶和華歟、汝使爾僕、代父大衛為王、惟我幼冲、不知若何出入、爾之選民乃大、其數不可勝數、爾僕居於其中、誰能鞫此眾民、祈賜爾僕智慧之心、為民折中、而辨是非、

爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

大衛知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂謂祭司亞比亞他曰、攜聖衣至、大衛禱曰、以色列之上帝耶和華歟、爾僕確聞掃羅欲至基伊拉、以我之故、翦滅斯邑、基伊拉人付我於其手乎、掃羅果來、如僕所聞乎、以色列之上帝耶和華歟、請告爾僕、耶和華曰、掃羅將至矣、大衛曰、基伊拉人以我及從者、付於掃羅手乎、耶和華曰、彼必付焉、
