耶和华对约书亚说：“你不要惧怕他们。明天这个时候，我必把他们全部交给以色列人杀戮，你要砍断他们马匹的蹄筋，烧毁他们的战车。”于是，约书亚率领所有的军兵在米伦河边突袭敌军。耶和华把敌军交在以色列人手中，以色列人打败了他们，追杀他们直到西顿大城、米斯利弗·玛音和东面的米斯巴谷，全部消灭了他们，一个没留。

但如果他们说，‘你们来我们这里！’我们就去，因为那表示耶和华已经把他们交在我们手里了。”

耶和华对约书亚说：“不要害怕，我已经把他们交在你手中，他们没有一人能抵挡你。”约书亚从吉甲出发，连夜赶路，突袭敌人。耶和华使亚摩利联军阵脚大乱，以色列人就在基遍大败敌军，在去伯·和仑的上坡路上追杀他们，一直追到亚西加和玛基大。

米该雅来到以色列王面前，王就问他：“米该雅啊，我可不可以去攻打基列的拉末？”米该雅回答说：“上去攻打吧，一定得胜，耶和华必将那城交在王手中。”
