The Lord was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had chariots fitted with iron.

雅各家以色列族、素若蚯蚓、我耶和華乃爾聖主、必加拯救、眷祐爾躬。爾之仇敵、高若山岡、我將使爾為打榖之器、惟新其製、而有利齒、可擊諸敵、擣之成粉、有若秕糠。

覺風烈、則懼、將溺、呼曰、主救我、耶穌手援之曰、小信者、何疑乎、

夏朔王耶賓、風聞此事、則遣人約馬頓王、約八、與伸崙、押殺二王、暨山地之北、基尼烈南、其間之平原陵谷、至多耳邊疆西隅列王。自東至西之迦南人、亞摩哩人、赫人、比哩洗人、居山之耶布士人、密士巴地。黑門山麓之希未人。列王遂出、率眾如海濱之沙、不可勝數、車馬之多、亦難悉計。列王咸集、建營於米倫水、攻以色列族。耶和華諭約書亞曰、勿懼、詰朝此時、我將是眾付以色列族、死於爾前、爾當割其馬筋、焚其車輛。約書亞率諸軍士、猝至米倫水攻敵。耶和華以敵付於以色列族、遂擊之、追至西頓大邑、亦至蜜利弗馬音、及密士巴谷東隅、俱翦滅之、靡有孑遺。約書亞伐之、循耶和華命、馬則割其筋、車則焚以火。

萬有之主雅各之上帝耶和華、祐予衛予兮。

門徒私就耶穌曰、我儕不能逐鬼、何歟、曰、不信故也、我誠告爾、有信如芥種、即命此山、去此移彼、亦必移焉、且無所不能也、

約瑟子孫曰、山地不我足用、居伯善與其鄉里、及耶斯烈谷之迦南人、皆有鐵車。約書亞謂約瑟子、以法蓮馬拿西曰、汝乃大族、亦有巨能、得地一區、尚為不足、山地與陵谷歸爾、可砍其林、迦南人雖強而有鐵車、爾必能驅之。

爾素聞亞納族居於是山、其邑垣高大、今求爾以耶和華所許之山賜我、如蒙耶和華祐我、則可逐之、踐其前言。

昔我佑摩西、今亦佑爾、不汝遐棄、俾爾畢生、無人能禦。

所謀不成、所命不立、蓋上帝實左右我、

我豈不曰、強爾志、壯爾心、切勿恐懼、不論所往、爾上帝耶和華佑爾。○

斷弓折戈、車爇以火、使在寰宇、人不興戎兮、

我主必以異跡顯示於爾、將有處女懷妊生子、人稱其名以馬內利、

簡車六百乘、與通國之驍騎軍長、襲其後。法老剛愎厥心、耶和華姑聽之。以色列族毫無畏葸而出埃及、

自此大闢、日漸昌大、萬有之上帝耶和華祐之。

蒙耶和華祐、特矜恤之、令沾恩於司獄。

伯善、大納、多耳、以伯連、米吉多、及其鄉里之迦南人、仍居斯土、馬拿西族不加驅逐。以色列族強盛、徵貢於迦南人、不逐之盡。迦南人之處於基色者、與以法蓮族偕居、不為所逐。迦南人之處於吉倫與拿哈鹿者、與西布倫族偕居、不為所逐、惟徵其貢。迦南人處於亞砢、西頓、亞臘、亞革悉、黑巴、亞非革、哩合之地、不為亞設族所逐、與之同居、

萬有之主、雅各之上帝耶和華、祐予衛予兮。

故以色列族服咒敗北、不得禦敵、如不以當獻之物出於爾中、我不復佑爾。
