Jesus answered them,“ Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain,‘ Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

“ Because of your little faith,” he told them.“ For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain,‘ Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Son, your sins are forgiven.”But some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts:“ Why does he speak like this? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”Right away Jesus perceived in his spirit that they were thinking like this within themselves and said to them,“ Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?Which is easier: to say to the paralytic,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up, take your mat, and walk’?But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he told the paralytic—“ I tell you: get up, take your mat, and go home.”

Jesus replied to them,“ Have faith in God.Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain,‘ Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for— believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

and none there will say,“ I am sick.” The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.

This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep.If we were properly judging ourselves, we would not be judged,but when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined, so that we may not be condemned with the world.

Just then some men brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”At this, some of the scribes said to themselves,“ He’s blaspheming!”Perceiving their thoughts, Jesus said,“ Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts?For which is easier: to say,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up and walk’?But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— then he told the paralytic,“ Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”

After this, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,“ See, you are well. Do not sin anymore, so that something worse doesn’t happen to you.”

And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, leading, various kinds of tongues.Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
