“瞎眼的向导啊，你们有祸了！你们说，‘指着圣殿发誓，不算数；但是指着圣殿里的金子发誓，就要遵守誓言。’无知的瞎子啊！金子重要呢？还是使金子神圣的圣殿重要呢？你们又说，‘指着祭坛发誓不算数，但是指着坛上的供物发誓，就要遵守誓言。’瞎眼的人啊！供物重要呢？还是使供物神圣的祭坛重要呢？其实指着祭坛发誓，就是指着祭坛和坛上的一切东西发誓。指着圣殿发誓，就是指着圣殿和住在里面的上帝发誓。指着天发誓，就是指着上帝的宝座和坐在宝座上的那位发誓。

如果有人饥饿，可以在家中先吃，免得你们聚会的时候自招审判。至于其余的事，等我到了以后再安排。

最重要的是要彼此真诚相爱，因为爱可以遮盖许多罪。

我的弟兄姊妹，不要个个当教师，因为你们知道，我们为人师表的将受到更严格的评判，因为我们在许多方面难免有过失。如果谁在言语上没有过失，他就是纯全的人，也能在各方面保持自制。
