爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

有人智不足、當求上帝、上帝博施、不汝瑕疵、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.Then God said to him:“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

“ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

“ And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

Jesus answered and said to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

“ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.Daniel answered and said:“ Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His.And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.

Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent:

Then said I:“ Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”But the Lord said to me:“ Do not say,‘ I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

“ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,“ Come, eat of my bread And drink of the wine I have mixed.Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

“ But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?Man does not know its value, Nor is it found in the land of the living.The deep says,‘ It is not in me’; And the sea says,‘ It is not with me.’It cannot be purchased for gold, Nor can silver be weighed for its price.It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, In precious onyx or sapphire.Neither gold nor crystal can equal it, Nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold.No mention shall be made of coral or quartz, For the price of wisdom is above rubies.The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, Nor can it be valued in pure gold.“ From where then does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding?It is hidden from the eyes of all living, And concealed from the birds of the air.Destruction and Death say,‘ We have heard a report about it with our ears.’God understands its way, And He knows its place.For He looks to the ends of the earth, And sees under the whole heavens,To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure.When He made a law for the rain, And a path for the thunderbolt,Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.And to man He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

“ And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded.”Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work.And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,

To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

“ And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.And the son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father said to his servants,‘ Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
