爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

有人智不足、當求上帝、上帝博施、不汝瑕疵、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

And now, Lord my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am like a little boy; I do not know how to go out or come in.And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted.So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil. For who is capable of judging this great people of Yours?”Now it was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.And God said to him,“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself a long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.Or what person is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?”

And on that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Only the Lord give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the Law of the Lord your God.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.

And I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,

And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, so that they may make everything that I have commanded you:

and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

“ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.Now which one of you fathers will his son ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, he will give him a snake?Or he will even ask for an egg, and his father will give him a scorpion?So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his friends would not be killed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven;Daniel said,“ May the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him.It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings; He gives wisdom to wise men, And knowledge to people of understanding.It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.

Then He began to reprimand the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent.

Then I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.”But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am a youth,’ Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak.

“ Whoever is naive, let him turn in here!” To him who lacks understanding she says,“ Come, eat of my food And drink of the wine I have mixed.Abandon your foolishness and live, And proceed in the way of understanding.”

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

“ But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?Mankind does not know its value, Nor is it found in the land of the living.The ocean depth says,‘ It is not in me’; And the sea says,‘ It is not with me.’Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it, Nor can silver be weighed as its price.It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, In precious onyx, or sapphire.Gold or glass cannot equal it, Nor can it be exchanged for articles of pure gold.Coral and crystal are not to be mentioned; And the acquisition of wisdom is more valuable than pearls.The topaz of Cush cannot equal it, Nor can it be valued in pure gold.Where then does wisdom come from? And where is this place of understanding?It is hidden from the eyes of every living creature, And concealed from the birds of the sky.Abaddon and Death say,‘ With our ears we have heard a report of it.’“ God understands its way, And He knows its place.For He looks to the ends of the earth; He sees everything under the heavens.When He imparted weight to the wind, And assessed the waters by measure,When He made a limit for the rain, And a course for the thunderbolt,Then He saw it and declared it; He established it and also searched it out.And to mankind He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to turn away from evil is understanding.’ ”

“ Now Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skillful person in whom the Lord has put skill and understanding to know how to perform all the work in the construction of the sanctuary, shall perform in accordance with everything that the Lord has commanded.”Then Moses called Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skillful person in whom the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it.They received from Moses every contribution which the sons of Israel had brought to perform the work in the construction of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him voluntary offerings every morning.And all the skillful people who were performing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work which they were performing,

to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?

So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.And the son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet;

Later He appeared to the eleven disciples themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reprimanded them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen from the dead.
