蓋民所負之重軛、所加於其肩之任、並督之之杖、主悉折斷、如罰米甸之日、

For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor.

You set Israel free from Midian long ago. In the same way, you will break the heavy yoke that weighs Israel down. You will break the wooden beams that are on their shoulders. You will break the rods of those who strike them down.

For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian.

For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian.

萬軍之耶和華要揮動鞭子攻擊他們，就像在俄立磐石那裡擊打米甸人；耶和華的杖要向海伸出，他必像在埃及那樣舉起杖來。到那日，亞述人的重擔必從你們的肩頭挪開，他們的軛必從你們的頸項脫離；那軛是因你們肥壯而撐斷的。

你必藉著公義堅立；你必遠離欺壓，不會害怕，也必遠離驚嚇，因驚嚇必不臨近你。

亞述人必因耶和華的聲音而喪膽，耶和華必用杖擊打他們；耶和華施刑的杖每打他們一下，人都會擊鼓和彈琴；打仗的時候，耶和華必揮手與他們爭戰。

在耶和華使你脫離痛苦、煩擾，脫離被迫所服的繁重勞役，得享安息的日子裡，你必對巴比倫王唱這首諷刺歌：「壓迫人的怎麼止息了呢？凶暴怎麼止息了呢？耶和華打斷了惡人的杖和管轄者的權杖——

我要使欺負你的人吃他們自己的肉；他們必醉飲自己的血，如同醉飲甜酒。那時，一切有血肉的就都知道：我是耶和華，是你的拯救者，是你的救贖主，是雅各的大能者。」

惡人的杖不能留在義人所分得的土地上，免得義人把手伸進不義。

你必靠著你的刀劍生存，也必服事你的弟弟；到了你奮起反抗的時候，你必從頸項上掙脫他的軛。」

求你對待他們，如同對待米甸，如同在基順溪流對待西西拉和耶賓——他們在恩多爾被除滅，成為那地上的糞土。求你使他們的貴族如同俄立和西伊伯，使他們所有的王子如同西巴和撒慕拿，

禍哉！亞述，我怒氣的棍！他們手中的杖就是我的憤怒。

我對我的子民發怒，使我的繼業被褻瀆，又把他們交在你的手中；你卻沒有對他們施憐憫，即使對老年人，你也把你的軛重重地壓在他們身上。

竟忘記了那造你的耶和華，就是展開諸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟終日不斷地懼怕，就是懼怕壓迫者預備行毀滅時的怒火！其實那壓迫者的怒火在哪裡呢？
