For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed.

这些带领者使百姓步入歧途、走向灭亡。

因为那些领导这人民的，使他们走错了路；那些被领导的，都必一片混乱。

因为引导这百姓的使他们迷失，而被引导的都陷入混乱。

因為，引導這百姓的使他們走錯了路；被引導的都必敗亡。

因為引導這百姓的使他們走入迷途，被引導的都必被吞滅。

因為引導這百姓的使他們走入迷途，被引導的都必被吞滅。

這些帶領者使百姓步入歧途、走向滅亡。

因為那些領導這人民的，使他們走錯了路；那些被領導的，都必一片混亂。

導民者誘入迷途、受導者淪胥以亡、

訓導斯民者、偏頗是尚、為所蠱惑者、淪胥以亡、

導斯民者誘之、凡被其所導者俱滅亡、

Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.

Those who guide the people of Israel are leading them down the wrong path. So those who follow them aren’t on the right road.

for those who guide this people have been leading them astray, and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.

For the leaders of the people have misled them. They have led them down the path of destruction.

For they that lead this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

The leaders of this nation were misleading people, and the people being led were destroyed.

Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”

Then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

Then he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:“ Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.

“ Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying,‘ This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:“ The Lord bless you and keep you;The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’

Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better.

“ Woe to you, blind guides, who say,‘ Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.’Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?And,‘ Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.’Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it.And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,and say,‘ If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’“ Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
