He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

Then the Lord will be a holy place of safety for you. But that’s not true for many people in Israel and Judah. He will be a stone that causes them to trip. He will be a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

And he will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

He will be a sanctuary; but for the two houses of Israel, he will be a stone to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

所以，主耶和华如此说：“看哪！我在锡安放一块作根基的石头，是试验过的石头，是宝贵的房角石，稳固的根基——信靠的人必不惊慌。

神是我们的避难所和力量，是患难中随时可得的帮助，因此我们不害怕——即使大地变动，群山动摇陷入海中；

他必向恶人密布网罗，火、硫磺、灼热的风是他们杯中的份。

耶和华的名是坚固的塔楼，义人跑进去就安稳在高处。

这样，他们就对耶稣很反感。耶稣对他们说：“先知除了在本乡、本家以外，没有不受尊重的。”

愿他们的筵席在他们面前成为网罗，在他们平安的时候成为陷阱。

又是谁首先给了主，使自己将来得到回报呢？”

我的民哪，去吧！进入你的内室，关上身后的门，短暂地躲藏一会儿，等到耶和华的愤怒过去！

因为那日子将要临到所有住在全地面上的人。

躲避白天炎热的遮荫棚，躲避狂风暴雨的避难所和藏身处。

地上的居民哪，恐怖、陷坑和网罗都要临到你们！那时，逃避恐怖风声的将掉进陷坑，从陷坑中爬上来的将被网罗缠住；因为天上的窗户敞开了，大地的根基也震动了。

大卫也说：“让他们的筵席成为网罗、陷阱、绊脚石，又成为他们的报应。让他们的眼睛昏暗不能看。让他们的腰背永远弯曲。”所以我要问，难道以色列人跌倒了，是要他们败落吗？绝对不是！相反，因他们的过犯，救恩就临到了外邦人，为要激起以色列人的嫉妒之心。
