亞述國王河外之人、爾饋以金、耶和華反使之翦滅爾民、若刀薙毛髮、去髭鬚、自頂放踵、幾無噍類、

當是時主必藉河外之人、即亞述王、翦除民眾、如以所租之薙刀、薙除首髮、足毛、及鬚髯、

In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave your heads and private parts, and to cut off your beards also.

At that time the Lord will use the Assyrians to punish you. Ahaz had hired them earlier from east of the Euphrates River. Now their king will be like a razor in the Lord’s hand. He will shave the hair from your head and private parts. He will also shave off your beards.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River— with the king of Assyria— the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.

In that day the Lord will hire a“ razor” from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— and use it to shave off everything: your land, your crops, and your people.

On that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave the hair on your heads, the hair on your legs, and even your beards.

On that day the Lord will shave with a razor, hired from regions beyond the Euphrates River( that is, with the king of Assyria), the head and the hair of the legs; and it will also remove the beard.

At that time the sovereign master will use a razor hired from the banks of the Euphrates River, the king of Assyria, to shave the head and the pubic hair; it will also shave off the beard.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.

“人子啊！你要拿一把利剑，当作理发匠的剃刀，剃你的头和刮你的胡子，把须发放在天平上称，然后把它们分成几份。围困这城的日子满了，你要拿须发的三分之一在城中用火烧掉，又拿三分之一在城的周围用刀剁碎，三分之一撒在风中，我还要拔刀追赶它们。你要在这些须发中取几根，用你的衣角把它们包起来。再从这几根须发中取一部分投在火里焚烧；火必从那里蔓延到以色列全家。”

斧头怎可以向用斧头砍木的人自夸呢？锯子怎可以向拉锯的人自大呢？好比棍能挥动那举起棍的，又好比杖举起那不是木头的。

因此，主必使大河又强又大的水临到他们，就是亚述王和他一切威荣，水必涨起来，高过所有的水道；水要泛滥，漫过所有的河岸；

你们为什么屡次悖逆，还要受责打吗？你们整个头都受了伤，整个心都发昏了。

现在我已经亲自把这一切国家都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中，连田野的走兽，我也交给他，供他奴役。列国都要服事他和他的儿子、孙子，直到他本国遭报的时候来到；那时，许多国家和大君王都要奴役他。

亚述王提革拉．毗尼色来到他那里，不但没有援助他，反倒欺压他。亚哈斯取了耶和华殿里和王宫中，以及众领袖家里的财宝，给了亚述王，但也无济于事。

亚述啊！我怒气的棍子，有祸了。他们手中拿着我忿怒的杖。我要差派他去攻击一个不敬虔的国，吩咐他去攻击我恼怒的子民，掳去掠物，抢夺掳物，把他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。

于是亚哈斯差派使者去见亚述王提革拉．毗列色，说：“我是你的臣仆，你的儿子，求你上来，救我脱离那起来攻击我的亚兰王和以色列王的手。”亚哈斯拿耶和华殿里和王宫宝库内找到的金子和银子，送给亚述王作礼物。

“人子啊！巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒使他的军兵千辛万苦攻打推罗，以致各人都头秃肩破；但是他和他的军兵攻打推罗所付出的辛劳，并没有从那里得到什么报酬。

因此，耶和华在一日之间，必从以色列中剪除头和尾、棕枝与芦苇。长老和尊贵人就是头；用谎言教导人的先知就是尾。因为那些领导这人民的，使他们走错了路；那些被领导的，都必一片混乱。因此，主不喜欢他们的年轻人，也不怜恤他们的孤儿寡妇；因为他们各人都是不敬虔的，是邪恶的，各人的口都说愚昧的话。虽然这样，耶和华的怒气还没有转消，他的手仍然伸出。

耶和华必使埃及的海湾干涸；他要用热风在大河之上挥手，他要击打它，使它分成七道支流，使人走过去也不会把鞋弄湿。

看哪！耶和华使大地空虚，变为荒凉；他必翻转地面，使地上的居民四散。人民和祭司，仆人和主人，婢女和主母，购买的和贩卖的，借给人和向人借的，放债的和借债的，全都一样被分散。

我把埃及地赐给他，作辛劳的报酬，因为他们都是为我效力的。这是主耶和华的宣告。

希西家王在位第十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大所有的设防城，占据了它们。犹大王希西家派人往拉吉去见亚述王说：“我有罪了，请你离我回去吧，你们加于我的处分，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚了犹大王希西家九千公斤银子和九百公斤金子。希西家就把耶和华殿和王宫宝库内找到的所有金子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家把耶和华殿门上和自己包在门柱上的金子，都刮了下来，给了亚述王。
