I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us— yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.

I will talk about the kind things the Lord has done. I’ll praise him for everything he’s done for us. He has done many good things for the nation of Israel. That’s because he loves us and is very kind to us.

I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has granted us, and the great goodness to the house of Israel that he has granted them according to his compassion, according to the abundance of his steadfast love.

I will tell of the Lord’s unfailing love. I will praise the Lord for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to his mercy and love.

I will make known the LORD’s faithful love and the LORD’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the LORD has done for us— even the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, which he did for them based on his compassion and the abundance of his faithful love.

I will make mention of the mercies of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, According to all that the Lord has granted us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has granted them according to His compassion And according to the abundance of His mercies.

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord And the praises of the Lord, According to all that the Lord has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.

I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

I will make known the Lord’s faithful love and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us— even the many good things He has done for the house of Israel and has done for them based on His compassion and the abundance of His faithful love.

I will tell of the loving kindnesses of Yahweh and the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, (niv)

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. (niv)

They captured fortified cities and fertile land; they took possession of houses filled with all kinds of good things, wells already dug, vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees in abundance. They ate to the full and were well-nourished; they reveled in your great goodness. (niv)

On the following day he sent the people away. They blessed the king and then went home, joyful and glad in heart for all the good things the Lord had done for his servant David and his people Israel. (niv)

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. “‘ Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you,“ Live!”I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.“‘ Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.“‘ I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you.I clothed you with an embroidered dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen and covered you with costly garments.I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck,and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord. Even while they were in their kingdom, enjoying your great goodness to them in the spacious and fertile land you gave them, they did not serve you or turn from their evil ways. (niv)

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. (niv)

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. (niv)

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, (niv)

“ You are the Lord God, who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham.You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.You sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his officials and all the people of his land, for you knew how arrogantly the Egyptians treated them. You made a name for yourself, which remains to this day.You divided the sea before them, so that they passed through it on dry ground, but you hurled their pursuers into the depths, like a stone into mighty waters.By day you led them with a pillar of cloud, and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light on the way they were to take.“ You came down on Mount Sinai; you spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good.You made known to them your holy Sabbath and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses.In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them. So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies. (niv)

“ Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take.You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them.He did miracles in the sight of their ancestors in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan.He divided the sea and led them through; he made the water stand up like a wall.He guided them with the cloud by day and with light from the fire all night.He split the rocks in the wilderness and gave them water as abundant as the seas;he brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers.But they continued to sin against him, rebelling in the wilderness against the Most High.They willfully put God to the test by demanding the food they craved.They spoke against God; they said,“ Can God really spread a table in the wilderness?True, he struck the rock, and water gushed out, streams flowed abundantly, but can he also give us bread? Can he supply meat for his people?”When the Lord heard them, he was furious; his fire broke out against Jacob, and his wrath rose against Israel,for they did not believe in God or trust in his deliverance.Yet he gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens;he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven.Human beings ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat.He let loose the east wind from the heavens and by his power made the south wind blow.He rained meat down on them like dust, birds like sand on the seashore.He made them come down inside their camp, all around their tents.They ate till they were gorged— he had given them what they craved.But before they turned from what they craved, even while the food was still in their mouths,God’s anger rose against them; he put to death the sturdiest among them, cutting down the young men of Israel.In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of his wonders, they did not believe.So he ended their days in futility and their years in terror.Whenever God slew them, they would seek him; they eagerly turned to him again.They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer.But then they would flatter him with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues;their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant.Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath.He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the wasteland!Again and again they put God to the test; they vexed the Holy One of Israel.They did not remember his power— the day he redeemed them from the oppressor,the day he displayed his signs in Egypt, his wonders in the region of Zoan.He turned their river into blood; they could not drink from their streams.He sent swarms of flies that devoured them, and frogs that devastated them.He gave their crops to the grasshopper, their produce to the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamore-figs with sleet.He gave over their cattle to the hail, their livestock to bolts of lightning.He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility— a band of destroying angels.He prepared a path for his anger; he did not spare them from death but gave them over to the plague.He struck down all the firstborn of Egypt, the firstfruits of manhood in the tents of Ham.But he brought his people out like a flock; he led them like sheep through the wilderness.He guided them safely, so they were unafraid; but the sea engulfed their enemies.And so he brought them to the border of his holy land, to the hill country his right hand had taken.He drove out nations before them and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance; he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.But they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High; they did not keep his statutes.Like their ancestors they were disloyal and faithless, as unreliable as a faulty bow.They angered him with their high places; they aroused his jealousy with their idols.When God heard them, he was furious; he rejected Israel completely.He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among humans.He sent the ark of his might into captivity, his splendor into the hands of the enemy.He gave his people over to the sword; he was furious with his inheritance.Fire consumed their young men, and their young women had no wedding songs;their priests were put to the sword, and their widows could not weep.Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine.He beat back his enemies; he put them to everlasting shame.Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever.He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens;from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance.And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them. The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, (niv)

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? (niv)

And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” (niv)

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. (niv)

Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:“ To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:“ Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”He called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food;and he sent a man before them— Joseph, sold as a slave.They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons,till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true.The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free.He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed,to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob resided as a foreigner in the land of Ham.The Lord made his people very fruitful; he made them too numerous for their foes,whose hearts he turned to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.He sent darkness and made the land dark— for had they not rebelled against his words?He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.Their land teemed with frogs, which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.He turned their rain into hail, with lightning throughout their land;he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country.He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil.Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood.He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.Egypt was glad when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them.He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night.They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven.He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert.For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for—that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws.
