Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

另有一位天使來了，站在祭壇旁邊，執有着金香爐；有許多香給了他，好跟眾聖徒的禱告一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。那香的煙同眾聖徒的禱告、由天使手中一同上升、在上帝面前。天使拿了香爐，將壇上的火盛滿了香爐，丟在地上。隨有雷轟、響聲、閃電、和地震。

其實幾乎可以說，按照律法，凡物都是用血潔淨的：沒有流血的事，就沒有赦免的事。這樣，天上之事的仿本既然必須用這些禮節來潔淨，那天上的本物自然必須用比這些更好的祭獻去潔淨了。因為基督並不是進了人手造的聖所、真聖所的模型、乃是進了上天本境，如今替我們顯在上帝面前的。他也不是必須多次地供獻自己、像大祭司每年靠着不是自己的血的、去進入聖所一樣。假使如此，從世界創立以來，他就必須多次受苦了！其實他在今世的末期、乃是儘一次地顯現，藉着自己之奉獻為祭、好把罪廢掉的。

主對那身穿細麻服裝的人說：『你進去，在旋轉輪中間、基路伯以下、從基路伯之間、將炭火取滿了兩捧，撒在城上。』我親眼看見他進去了。

他要從永恆主面前的祭壇上拿個滿有炭火的香爐，又拿一捧搗細的芬芳香末，帶進帷帳內，

我們有一個祭壇，壇上的祭物、在帳幕中行事奉禮的人都沒有權利喫。

論到天使們、他是說：『上帝以風為他的使者，以燄火為他的僕役』；

眾天使豈不是服事的靈，奉差遣為那將要承受拯救的人作服役的工麼？

我是用水給你們洗，叫你們悔改的；但在我以後來的那一位呢、比我有力量，他的鞋我不配提的，他必用聖靈與火給你們洗。

有舌頭像火舌一樣、向他們顯現出來，分散而停在他們每一個人上頭。

在他四圍有撒拉弗侍立着；每一個都有六個翅膀：用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔着。

我還在禱告中說話的時候，我先前在異象中所見的那人加百列奉命迅速地飛來，大約在獻晚祭時候接近着我。他來同我講話說：『但以理啊，現在我出來、是要使你有智慧有聰明。你初懇求的時候、就有神言發出，故此我來告訴你，因為你是大蒙眷愛的；所以你要思想這事，要注意所見的景象。
