彼遺棄我、違逆我、禍必不遠、我欲救之、彼反挾詐諼、

斯土之民、尚殺戮、行刧奪、遍於邑郊、故當作鐵索。以為被擄之兆、

故我耶和華指己而誓、爾既以殺人為悅、余必追襲、殲爾務盡、

主曰、以色列族、猶大家、罪戾甚重、殺人遍地、舉邑違逆、自謂耶和華不加鑒察、耶和華已遐棄斯土、

彼妄發誓詞、專事誑言、淫人妻室、奪人貨財、殺戮人民、流血四境、

人述虛誕、無益於事、爾乃信之、

惟爾縱心目之欲、貪婪不已、強據虐遇、而殺無辜。

彼行詭詐、違逆乎余、王公欣喜、

爾曹行惡殺人、得其貨財、以建郇邑、及耶路撒冷、長者聽訟、為納苞苴、祭司訓民、惟望賞賚、先知圖利、而言未來事、然眾恃耶和華自謂耶和華左右我、必不遘災、故緣爾故、人將耕郇邑之地、盡成田疇、耶路撒冷悉變瓦礫、斯殿之山將為林藪。

偽善誑言、喪其本心、如火銷鑠、

富者專行強據、邑中庶民、互相欺誑、鼓舌妄言、

人子、彼邑之民、惟嗜殺人、爾當責之、使知所作不端、為我所痛疾。

耶和華曰、彼民逞舌妄言、若援弓發矢、言雖不誠、偏能得志、作惡無已、不識我道。當謹防鄰里、勿信兄弟、蓋兄弟相欺、鄰里譭謗、各相欺誑、不言真實、舌出誑詞、孳孳為惡。耶和華告耶利米曰、爾之鄰里詭譎、不識我耶和華之道。
