He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.

He sees that there is no one who helps his people. He is shocked that no one stands up for them. So he will use his own powerful arm to save them. He has the strength to do it because he is holy.

He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him.

He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him.

亞伯拉罕上前說：“你真的要把義人和惡人一同除滅嗎？假如城中有五十個義人，你還真的要除滅那地方，不為城裡的五十個義人而赦免那地方嗎？你絕不會作這樣的事：把義人與惡人一同殺死，把義人和惡人一樣看待，你絕不會這樣！審判全地的主，豈可不行公義嗎？”耶和華說：“我若在所多瑪城中找到五十個義人，我就因他們的緣故，赦免那地方所有的人。”亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。假如這五十個義人中缺少了五個，你會因為缺少了五個就毀滅全城嗎？”他說：“我若在那裡找到四十五個，我也不會毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕再問他說：“假如在那裡找到四十個呢？”他回答：“我因這四十個的緣故，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我再問：‘假如在那裡找到三十個呢？’”他回答：“我若在那裡找到三十個，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“我再大膽地對我主說，假如在那裡找到二十個呢？”他回答：“我因這二十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我問這最後的一次，假如在那裡找到十個呢？”他回答：“我因這十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”

“我獨自踹酒槽；萬民之中沒有一人與我同在；我在忿怒中把他們踹下，在烈怒中把他們踐踏；他們的血濺在我的衣服上，我把我所有的衣裳都染污了。因為報仇的日子早已在我的心裡，我救贖的年日早已經來到。我觀看，但沒有人幫助；我詫異，因沒有人扶持；所以我用自己的膀臂為我施行了拯救，我的烈怒扶持了我，

耶和華在萬國的眼前，顯露他的聖臂，地極的人必看見我們神的拯救。

所以他說要滅絕他們，不是有他揀選的摩西，在他面前站在破口上，使他的怒氣轉消，恐怕他早已毀滅他們了。

我看的時候，卻沒有一個人；他們中間也沒有謀士，我問他們的時候，可以回答一句話。

“你們去走遍耶路撒冷的街道，到處觀察留意，又在城的廣場上尋覓；如果能找到一個行正義、求誠實的人，我就赦免這城。

對於那些人的不信，他感到詫異。耶穌到周圍的鄉村去繼續教導人。

為甚麼我來的時候，沒有人在呢？為甚麼我呼喚的時候，沒有人答應呢？難道我的手太軟弱不能救贖嗎？或是我沒有能力拯救嗎？看哪！我以斥責使海乾涸，我使江河變成曠野，江河的魚因無水發臭，因乾渴而死。

沒有人呼求你的名，沒有人奮起抓著你；因為你掩面不顧我們，使我們在自己罪孽的權勢下融化。
