他以眼傳神，用腳示意，用指頭指點，

耶和華的眼睛看顧義人，他的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求。耶和華的臉敵對作惡的人，要把他們的名從世上除掉。義人哀求，耶和華就垂聽，搭救他們脫離一切患難，

他求告我，我必應允他；他在患難中，我必與他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊榮。

“你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。因為凡祈求的就得著，尋找的就尋見，叩門的就給他開門。

他們彼此說謊，用諂媚的嘴唇說話，口是心非。

如果我心裡偏向罪孽，主必不聽；神卻垂聽了，他留心聽了我禱告的聲音。

你要以耶和華為樂，他就把你心裡所求的賜給你。

所以你們張開雙手的時候，我必掩眼不看你們；即使你們多多禱告，我也不聽；你們的手都沾滿血腥。

錫安的人民、耶路撒冷的居民哪！你們必不再哭泣。他必因你哀求的聲音恩待你；他聽見的時候，就必應允你。

你們戲弄誰呢？你們張大嘴巴，伸長舌頭戲弄誰呢？你們不是悖逆的孩子嗎？不是虛謊的後裔嗎？

我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我，使我站在寬闊之地。

我所揀選的禁食不是這樣嗎？不是要鬆開兇惡的鎖鍊，解開軛上的繩索，使被壓迫的獲得自由，折斷所有的軛嗎？

就是悖逆、否認耶和華，轉去不跟從我們的神，說欺壓和背道的話，心裡懷著謊言，隨即說出來；

因為偶像所說的是空言，占卜者所見的是虛謊，他們所說的是假夢，只給人空洞的安慰。因此，眾人都如羊沒有牧人，流離困苦。

雅各來到他父親那裡，說：“我父啊！”以撒說：“我在這裡，我兒啊，你是誰？”

因為你們的手沾滿了血，你們的指頭被罪孽玷污，你們的嘴唇說虛謊的話，你們的舌頭講出兇言。沒有人按公義求告，沒有人憑誠實爭辯；他們都倚靠虛無，說虛謊的話；所懷的是毒害，所生的是罪孽。

因此，主耶和華這樣說：“因為你們所說的是虛假，所見的是欺詐，因此我就攻擊你們。這是主耶和華的宣告。

耶和華呼喚撒母耳，他說：“我在這裡。”他就跑到以利那裡，說：“你呼喚我，我在這裡。”以利說：“我沒有呼喚你，回去睡吧。”他就回去睡了。耶和華再次呼喚撒母耳，他就起來走到以利那裡，說：“你呼喚我，我在這裡。”以利說：“我兒，我沒有呼喚你，回去睡吧。”那時撒母耳還沒有認識耶和華，因為耶和華的話還沒有向他啟示。耶和華第三次呼喚撒母耳，他又起來，走到以利那裡，說：“你呼喚我，我在這裡。”以利就明白是耶和華呼喚這孩子。
