You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

You took olive oil to the god named Molek. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

You journeyed to the king with oil and multiplied your perfumes; you sent your envoys far off, and sent down even to Sheol.

You have gone to Molech with olive oil and many perfumes, sending your agents far and wide, even to the world of the dead.

阿荷利巴一看見就貪戀他們，打發使者往迦勒底去見他們。

我又用沒藥、沉香、桂皮薰了我的榻。

「況且你們二婦打發使者去請遠方人。使者到他們那裏，他們就來了。你們為他們沐浴己身，粉飾眼目，佩戴妝飾，

耶和華說：禍哉！這悖逆的兒女。他們同謀，卻不由於我，結盟，卻不由於我的靈，以致罪上加罪；起身下埃及去，並沒有求問我；要靠法老的力量加添自己的力量，並投在埃及的蔭下。所以，法老的力量必作你們的羞辱；投在埃及的蔭下，要為你們的慚愧。他們的首領已在瑣安；他們的使臣到了哈內斯。他們必因那不利於他們的民蒙羞。那民並非幫助，也非利益，只作羞恥凌辱。論南方牲畜的默示：他們把財物馱在驢駒的脊背上，將寶物馱在駱駝的肉鞍上，經過艱難困苦之地，就是公獅、母獅、蝮蛇、火焰的飛龍之地，往那不利於他們的民那裏去。

不可讓人因着故意謙虛和敬拜天使，就奪去你們的獎賞。這等人拘泥在所見過的，隨着自己的慾心，無故地自高自大，

凡妓女是得人贈送，你反倒贈送你所愛的人，賄賂他們從四圍來與你行淫。

亞哈斯差遣使者去見亞述王提革拉‧毗列色，說：「我是你的僕人、你的兒子。現在亞蘭王和以色列王攻擊我，求你來救我脫離他們的手。」亞哈斯將耶和華殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的金銀都送給亞述王為禮物。亞述王應允了他，就上去攻打大馬士革，將城攻取，殺了利汛，把居民擄到吉珥。亞哈斯王上大馬士革去迎接亞述王提革拉‧毗列色，在大馬士革看見一座壇，就照壇的規模樣式作法畫了圖樣，送到祭司烏利亞那裏。祭司烏利亞照着亞哈斯王從大馬士革送來的圖樣，在亞哈斯王沒有從大馬士革回來之先，建築一座壇。

以法蓮吃風，且追趕東風，時常增添虛謊和強暴，與亞述立約，把油送到埃及。

卑賤人屈膝；尊貴人下跪；所以不可饒恕他們。

以法蓮好像鴿子愚蠢無知；他們求告埃及，投奔亞述。

禍哉！那些下埃及求幫助的，是因仗賴馬匹，倚靠甚多的車輛，並倚靠強壯的馬兵，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不求問耶和華。其實，耶和華有智慧；他必降災禍，並不反悔自己的話，卻要興起攻擊那作惡之家，又攻擊那作孽幫助人的。埃及人不過是人，並不是神；他們的馬不過是血肉，並不是靈。耶和華一伸手，那幫助人的必絆跌，那受幫助的也必跌倒，都一同滅亡。
