我必不永遠相爭，也不長久發怒，恐怕我所造的人與靈性都必發昏。

我之責人、不恆蓄怒、恐予所造之人、膽喪氣餒、

我必不永遠斥責、不恆久震怒、恐我所造之人、心神困憊、

I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me— the very people I have created.

I will not find fault with my people forever. I will not always be angry with them. If I were, I would cause their spirits to grow weak. The people I created would faint away.

For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made.

For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away— all the souls I have made.

For I will not accuse you forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before me, even the breath, which I have made.

神啊，有何神像你，赦免罪孽，饒恕你產業之餘民的罪過，不永遠懷怒，喜愛施恩？

你要向我們發怒到永遠嗎？你要將你的怒氣延留到萬代嗎？

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，不滅絕他們，而且屢次消他的怒氣，不發盡他的忿怒。他想到他們不過是血氣，是一陣去而不返的風。

再者，我們曾有生身的父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況萬靈的父，我們豈不更當順服他得生嗎？

耶和華啊，求你從寬懲治我，不要在你的怒中懲治我，恐怕使我歸於無有。

他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有按我們的罪過待我們，也沒有照我們的罪孽報應我們。天離地何等的高，他的慈愛向敬畏他的人也是何等的大！東離西有多遠，他叫我們的過犯離我們也有多遠！父親怎樣憐恤他的兒女，耶和華也怎樣憐恤敬畏他的人！因為他知道我們的本體，思念我們不過是塵土。至於世人，他的年日如草一樣。他發旺如野地的花，經風一吹，便歸無有；它的原處也不再認識它。

摩西、亞倫就俯伏在地，說：「神，萬人之靈的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全會眾發怒嗎？」

創造諸天，鋪張穹蒼，將地和地所出的一併鋪開，賜氣息給地上的眾人，又賜靈性給行在其上之人的神耶和華，他如此說：

耶和華說：「人既屬乎血氣，我的靈就不永遠住在他裏面；然而他的日子還可到一百二十年。」

西底家王就私下向耶利米說：「我指着那造我們生命之永生的耶和華起誓：我必不殺你，也不將你交在尋索你命的人手中。」

塵土仍歸於地，靈仍歸於賜靈的神。

耶和華論以色列的默示。鋪張諸天、建立地基、造人裏面之靈的耶和華說：

他若專心為己，將靈和氣收歸自己，凡有血氣的就必一同死亡；世人必仍歸塵土。
