Just as there were many who were appalled at him— his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—

Many people were shocked when they saw him. He was so scarred that he no longer looked like a person. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.

As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—

But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.

Just as many were appalled at you— his appearance was so disfigured that he did not look like a man, and his form did not resemble a human being—

Just as many were appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred beyond that of a man, And His form beyond the sons of mankind.

他在耶和華面前生長如嫩芽，像根出於乾地。他無佳形美容；我們看見他的時候，也無美貌使我們羨慕他。他被藐視，被人厭棄；多受痛苦，常經憂患。他被藐視，好像被人掩面不看的一樣；我們也不尊重他。他誠然擔當我們的憂患，背負我們的痛苦；我們卻以為他受責罰，被神擊打苦待了。哪知他為我們的過犯受害，為我們的罪孽壓傷。因他受的刑罰，我們得平安；因他受的鞭傷，我們得醫治。

人打我的背，我任他打；人拔我腮頰的鬍鬚，我由他拔；人辱我，吐我，我並不掩面。

我的骨頭，我都能數過；他們瞪着眼看我。

耶穌仍不回答，連一句話也不說，以致巡撫甚覺希奇。

他們就吐唾沫在他臉上，用拳頭打他，也有用手掌打他的，說：

於是到他們那裏，上了船，風就住了；他們心裏十分驚奇。

門徒就分外希奇，對他說：「這樣誰能得救呢？」

他們聽見就希奇，離開他走了。撒都該人常說沒有復活的事。那天，他們來問耶穌說：

用荊棘編做冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根葦子放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「恭喜，猶太人的王啊！」又吐唾沫在他臉上，拿葦子打他的頭。

我的精力枯乾，如同瓦片；我的舌頭貼在我牙牀上。你將我安置在死地的塵土中。

但我是蟲，不是人，被眾人羞辱，被百姓藐視。凡看見我的都嗤笑我；他們撇嘴搖頭，說：

耶穌講完了這些話，眾人都希奇他的教訓；

那閨女立時起來走。他們就大大地驚奇；閨女已經十二歲了。

因為，我的年日如煙雲消滅；我的骨頭如火把燒着。我的心被傷，如草枯乾，甚至我忘記吃飯。因我唉哼的聲音，我的肉緊貼骨頭。

許多人以我為怪，但你是我堅固的避難所。

眾人分外希奇，說：「他所做的事都好，他連聾子也叫他們聽見，啞巴也叫他們說話。」

凡聽見他的，都希奇他的聰明和他的應對。

他們行路上耶路撒冷去。耶穌在前頭走，門徒就希奇，跟從的人也害怕。耶穌又叫過十二個門徒來，把自己將要遭遇的事告訴他們說：

又蒙着他的眼，問他說：「你是先知，告訴我們打你的是誰？」

眾人都驚訝，彼此對問說：「這是甚麼道理呢？因為他用權柄能力吩咐污鬼，污鬼就出來。」

眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀與神，並且滿心懼怕，說：「我們今日看見非常的事了。」
