The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread.

他們就拿住耶利米，把他丟在王子瑪基雅的井裡，那井是在衛兵的院子裡的；他們用繩子把耶利米縋下去。井裡沒有水，只有淤泥；耶利米就陷在淤泥中。宮中的臣宰古實人以伯．米勒，在王宮裡聽見他們把耶利米關在井裡的消息（那時，王正在便雅憫門坐著），以伯．米勒就從王宮裡出來，稟告王說：“我主我王啊！這些人對耶利米先知所作的一切真是惡毒，他們把他丟在井裡；在那地方他必餓死，因為城裡再沒有糧食了。”於是王吩咐古實人以伯．米勒說：“你從這裡帶三十個人，在耶利米先知未死以前，把他從井裡拉上來。”以伯．米勒就帶人進王宮去，到儲物室下面的一個房間，從那裡取了些破布爛衣，用繩子縋下井裡給耶利米。古實人以伯．米勒對耶利米說：“把這些破布爛衣墊在你的腋下，然後束上繩子。”耶利米就這樣作了。於是他們用繩子把耶利米從井裡拉出來；這樣，耶利米可以住在衛兵的院子裡。

忽然，有主的一位使者出現，牢房裡就光芒四射。天使拍拍彼得的肋旁，喚醒他，說：“快起來！”他手上的鎖鍊就脫落了。天使對他說：“束上帶子，穿上鞋！”他就這樣作了。天使又說：“披上外衣，跟我走！”

於是，猶大和便雅憫的族長、祭司、利未人和所有被神激動了心靈的人，都起來要上去，重建在耶路撒冷耶和華的殿。

他們必不飢餓，也不口渴，炎熱和太陽必不傷害他們，因為那憐憫他們的，要引領他們，帶領他們到水泉的旁邊。

耶利米進了地牢裡的一個囚房，在那裡監禁了多日。

他們把我投在坑中要結束我的性命，又把石頭拋在我身上；水淹過我的頭，我說：“我要死了！”
