Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of thick darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ We are free, we will come no more to you’?

Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

On account of your unclean lewdness, because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your uncleanness, you shall not be cleansed anymore till I have satisfied my fury upon you.
