因此，火舌怎样吞灭碎秸，干草怎样落在火焰之中，照样，他们的根必像腐朽之物，他们的花必像尘土飞扬；因为他们弃绝万军之耶和华的训诲，藐视以色列圣者的话。

因此，火舌怎样吞噬麦秸，干草怎样倒在火焰中，照样，他们的根也必像腐朽之物，他们的花必像尘土飞散；因为他们厌弃万军之耶和华的训诲，藐视以色列圣者的言语。

故若禾稿焚於火、枯草銷於焰、其根將朽、其花飛揚若塵、因其廢棄萬軍耶和華之律、藐視以色列聖者之言、

耶和華萬有之真宰、以色列族之聖主、定律例、立法度、彼蔑棄之、藐視之、故必敗亡、若火之燬稈、若燄之燃蒭、本實必撥、花蕊必謝、

故其根必若朽物、其花飛散如塵、勢如火焰焚稈、烈焰燬芻、因彼違棄萬有之主之法、藐視以色列聖主之言、

Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Flames of fire burn up straw. Dry grass sinks down into those flames. Evil people will be like plants whose roots rot away. They will be like flowers that are blown away like dust. That’s because they have said no to the law of the Lord who rules over all. They have turned against the message of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, just as fire licks up stubble and dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will rot and their flowers wither. For they have rejected the law of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the LORD of Armies, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, And dry grass collapses in the flame, So their root will become like rot, and their blossom blow away like dust; For they have rejected the Law of the Lord of armies, And discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the Lord of Hosts, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff,[ so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as flaming fire devours straw, and dry grass disintegrates in the flames, so their root will rot, and their flower will blow away like dust. For they have rejected the law of the LORD who commands armies, they have spurned the commands of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust, because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

下邊，他的根本要枯乾；上邊，他的枝子要剪除。

所以，以色列的聖者如此說：因為你們藐視這訓誨的話，倚賴欺壓和乖僻，以此為可靠的，

在山頂蹦跳的響聲如車輛的響聲，又如火焰燒碎稭的響聲，好像強盛的民擺陣預備打仗。

他們要像碎稭被火焚燒，不能救自己脫離火焰之力；這火並非可烤的炭火，也不是可以坐在其前的火。

你大發威嚴，推翻那些起來攻擊你的；你發出烈怒如火，燒滅他們像燒碎稭一樣。

因為他們是悖逆的百姓、說謊的兒女，不肯聽從耶和華訓誨的兒女。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」

撒母耳對掃羅說：「我不同你回去；因為你厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作以色列的王。」

所以，那棄絕的，不是棄絕人，乃是棄絕那賜聖靈給你們的神。

又對門徒說：「聽從你們的就是聽從我；棄絕你們的就是棄絕我；棄絕我的就是棄絕那差我來的。」

悖逆的罪與行邪術的罪相等；頑梗的罪與拜虛神和偶像的罪相同。你既厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作王。

我從以色列人面前除滅亞摩利人。他雖高大如香柏樹，堅固如橡樹，我卻上滅他的果子，下絕他的根本。

因此，耶和華一日之間必從以色列中剪除頭與尾，棕枝與蘆葦－長老和尊貴人就是頭，以謊言教人的先知就是尾。因為，引導這百姓的使他們走錯了路；被引導的都必敗亡。所以，主必不喜悅他們的少年人，也不憐恤他們的孤兒寡婦；因為，各人是褻瀆的，是行惡的，並且各人的口都說愚妄的話。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣還未轉消；他的手仍伸不縮。

若有人用金、銀、寶石、草木、禾稭在這根基上建造，各人的工程必然顯露，因為那日子要將它表明出來，有火發現；這火要試驗各人的工程怎樣。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」

「然而，他們不順從，竟背叛你，將你的律法丟在背後，殺害那勸他們歸向你的眾先知，大大惹動你的怒氣。

地啊，當聽！我必使災禍臨到這百姓，就是他們意念所結的果子；因為他們不聽從我的言語，至於我的訓誨，他們也厭棄了。

你們像叢雜的荊棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎稭全然燒滅。

其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語丟在背後。

他們卻不聽從，竟硬着頸項，效法他們列祖，不信服耶和華－他們的神，厭棄他的律例和他與他們列祖所立的約，並勸戒他們的話，隨從虛無的神，自己成為虛妄，效法周圍的外邦人，就是耶和華囑咐他們不可效法的；

智慧人慚愧，驚惶，被擒拿；他們棄掉耶和華的話，心裏還有甚麼智慧呢？

但法利賽人和律法師沒有受過約翰的洗，竟為自己廢棄了神的旨意。

萬軍之耶和華說：「那日臨近，勢如燒着的火爐，凡狂傲的和行惡的必如碎稭，在那日必被燒盡，根本枝條一無存留。

我使以法蓮如蟲蛀之物，使猶大家如朽爛之木。

棄絕我、不領受我話的人，有審判他的－就是我所講的道在末日要審判他。

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；

人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩三個見證人，尚且不得憐恤而死，何況人踐踏神的兒子，將那使他成聖之約的血當作平常，又褻慢施恩的聖靈，你們想，他要受的刑罰該怎樣加重呢！

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的命令，行他眼中看為惡的事呢？你借亞捫人的刀殺害赫人烏利亞，又娶了他的妻為妻。你既藐視我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻為妻，所以刀劍必永不離開你的家。』

主說：你們這輕慢的人要觀看，要驚奇，要滅亡；因為在你們的時候，我行一件事，雖有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。」

以法蓮受責罰，根本枯乾，必不能結果，即或生產，我必殺他們所生的愛子。
