Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine.

祸哉！那些清早起来追求浓酒，留连到夜深，甚至因酒发烧的人。

祸哉！那些清晨早起，追寻烈酒，因酒狂热，流连到深夜的人，

那些从清早到深夜贪杯好酒，喝到酩酊大醉的人有祸了！

那些清早起来，追求浓酒，留连到晚上，以致因酒发烧的人，有祸了！

禍哉！那些清早起來追求濃酒，留連到夜深，甚至因酒發燒的人。

禍哉斯人、蚤起縱飲濃酒、飲至深夜、致體因酒作燒、

How terrible it will be for those who get up early in the morning to start drinking! How terrible for those who stay up late at night until they are drunk with wine!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them!

What sorrow for those who get up early in the morning looking for a drink of alcohol and spend long evenings drinking wine to make themselves flaming drunk.

Woe to those who rise early in the morning in pursuit of beer, who linger into the evening, inflamed by wine.

Woe to those who rise early in the morning so that they may pursue intoxicating drink, Who stay up late in the evening so that wine may inflame them!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them!

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning in pursuit of beer, who linger into the evening, inflamed by wine.

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning,[ that] they may follow strong drink; that continue until night,[ till] wine inflame them!

Those who get up early to drink beer are as good as dead, those who keep drinking long after dark until they are intoxicated with wine.

Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink, who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.

Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks,

Woe to the land whose king was a servant and whose princes feast in the morning.Blessed is the land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time— for strength and not for drunkenness.

Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.

And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions.All the tables are covered with vomit and there is not a spot without filth.

Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s drunkards, to the fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley— to that city, the pride of those laid low by wine!

nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.

“ Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.

“ Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies!

So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.

On the day of the festival of our king the princes become inflamed with wine, and he joins hands with the mockers.Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
