创造诸天的耶和华——他是神，是塑造大地、造成大地的那一位；他亲自坚立了大地；他创造大地不是要让它空虚，他塑造大地是要让人居住——耶和华如此说：“我是耶和华，别无其二。

你在起初奠定了大地的根基，诸天也是你手所造的。

他又说：“主啊，你在起初立定了大地的根基，诸天也是你手所造的。天地将要毁灭，你却继续存留；天地都要像衣服那样渐渐破旧。你将要把天地像外衣那样卷起来，天地也要像衣服那样被更换；你却永不改变，你的岁月没有穷尽。”

谁曾用手心测量众水，用手掌度量诸天呢？谁曾用升斗盛量大地的尘土，用秤称量群山，用天平称量冈陵呢？

神耶和华创造诸天，展开穹苍，铺张地和地所出的一切，又把气息赐给地上的众人，把灵赐给行在其中的人——神耶和华如此说：

愿这一切都赞美耶和华的名，因为他一吩咐，它们就被造成。他确立这些，直到永永远远；他赐下法令，永不废去。你们当从地上赞美耶和华！你们海中的巨兽和所有的深渊、烈火和冰雹、冰雪和云雾、遵行他话语的暴风、

耶和华啊，你的话语设立在天，直到永远！你的信实存到万代，你坚立了大地，大地就存留。天地照着你的法规存到今日，因为万有都是你的仆役。

神坐在大地的圆穹之上，地上的居民好像蚱蜢。他展开诸天如幔子，铺张穹苍如居住的帐篷。

他数点星辰的数目，一一给它们起名。
