但災禍臨到你，你不知如何驅除；災害落在你身上，你也無法除掉，你所不知道的毀滅必忽然臨到你身上。

因此，祸患要临到你身；你不知何时发现灾害落在你身上，你也不能除掉；所不知道的毁灭也必忽然临到你身。

Disaster will come upon you, and you will not know how to conjure it away. A calamity will fall upon you that you cannot ward off with a ransom; a catastrophe you cannot foresee will suddenly come upon you.

So horrible trouble will come on you. You will not know how to use your evil magic to make it go away. Great trouble will fall on you. No amount of money can keep it away. Something terrible will happen to you all at once. You will not see it coming ahead of time.

But evil shall come upon you, which you will not know how to charm away; disaster shall fall upon you, for which you will not be able to atone; and ruin shall come upon you suddenly, of which you know nothing.

So disaster will overtake you, and you won’t be able to charm it away. Calamity will fall upon you, and you won’t be able to buy your way out. A catastrophe will strike you suddenly, one for which you are not prepared.

But disaster will happen to you; you will not know how to avert it. And it will fall on you, but you will be unable to ward it off. Devastation will happen to you suddenly and unexpectedly.

人正說平安穩定的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同陣痛臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕逃脫不了。

主人就大怒，把他交給司刑的，直到他還清了所欠的債。

「你們忘記上帝的，要思想這事，免得我把你們撕碎，無人搭救。

耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，看哪，都是死屍。

我們的敵人說：「趁他們不知道，看不見的時候，我們進入他們中間，殺了他們，使工作停止。」

他們食慾一來的時候，我必為他們擺設酒席，使他們沉醉，好叫他們快樂；他們睡了長覺，永不醒起。這是耶和華說的。我必使他們像羔羊、像公綿羊和公山羊被牽去宰殺。示沙克竟然被攻取！全地所稱讚的被佔據！巴比倫在列國中竟然變為荒涼！海水漲起，漫過巴比倫；澎湃的海浪遮蓋了它。

「所寫的文字是：『彌尼，彌尼，提客勒，烏法珥新。』解釋是這樣：彌尼就是上帝數算你國的年日到此完畢。提客勒就是你被秤在天平上，秤出你的虧欠來。毗勒斯就是你的國要分裂，歸給瑪代人和波斯人。」於是伯沙撒下令，人就把紫袍給但以理穿上，把金鏈給他戴在頸項上，又傳令使他在國中位列第三。當夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被殺。

所以，要記得你所領受和聽見的；要遵守，並要悔改。你若不警醒，我必如賊一樣來到；我幾時來到你那裏，你絕不會知道。

地上的君王，與她行淫、一同奢華的，看見燒她的煙，就必為她哭泣哀號；因怕她的痛苦，就遠遠地站着，說：「禍哉，禍哉，這大城！堅固的巴比倫城啊！一時之間，你的審判要來到了。」

到了半夜，耶和華把埃及地所有頭生的，就是從坐寶座的法老，到關在牢裏的人的長子，以及一切頭生的牲畜，盡都殺了。法老和他眾臣僕，以及所有的埃及人，都在夜間起來了。在埃及有大大的哀號，因為沒有一家不死人的。

我告訴你，就是最後一小文錢還沒有還清，你也絕不能從那裏出來。」
