迦勒底國巴比倫都譬諸女主、失位而坐塗炭、喪其容儀、

巴比倫邑、邑原文作處女當降而坐於塗炭、塗炭原文作塵埃迦勒底邦、邦原文作女下同當坐於地、不坐於位、不復稱嬌柔細膩、

“ Go down, sit in the dust, Virgin Daughter Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, queen city of the Babylonians. No more will you be called tender or delicate.

“ City of Babylon, go down and sit in the dust. Leave your throne and sit on the ground. Queen city of the Babylonians, your life will not be comfortable and easy anymore.

Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.

“ Come down, virgin daughter of Babylon, and sit in the dust. For your days of sitting on a throne have ended. O daughter of Babylonia, never again will you be the lovely princess, tender and delicate.

万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：“巴比伦城好像踹谷的禾场；再过片时，收割他的时候就到了。”

将要被灭的巴比伦城啊，报复你像你待我们的，那人便为有福！

与巴比伦人同住的锡安民哪，应当逃脱。

埃及的民哪，可以上基列取乳香去；你虽多服良药，总是徒然，不得治好。

他们拿弓和枪，性情残忍，不施怜悯；他们的声音像海浪砰訇。巴比伦城啊，他们骑马，都摆队伍如上战场的人，要攻击你。

锡安的城门必悲伤、哀号；她必荒凉坐在地上。

“住在底本的民哪，要从你荣耀的位上下来，坐受干渴；因毁灭摩押的上来攻击你，毁坏了你的保障。

所以耶和华论他这样说：锡安的处女藐视你，嗤笑你；耶路撒冷的女子向你摇头。

你心里曾说：‘我要升到天上；我要高举我的宝座在神众星以上；我要坐在聚会的山上，在北方的极处。我要升到高云之上；我要与至上者同等。’

困苦的百姓，你必拯救；高傲的眼目，你必使他降卑。

“你要对君王和太后说：你们当自卑，坐在下边；因你们的头巾，就是你们的华冠，已经脱落了。

他使住高处的与高城一并败落，将城拆毁，拆平，直到尘埃，

你因美丽心中高傲，又因荣光败坏智慧，我已将你摔倒在地，使你倒在君王面前，好叫他们目睹眼见。

安逸的妇女啊，起来听我的声音！无虑的女子啊，侧耳听我的言语！无虑的女子啊，再过一年多，必受骚扰；因为无葡萄可摘，无果子可收。安逸的妇女啊，要战兢；无虑的女子啊，要受骚扰。脱去衣服，赤着身体，腰束麻布。

耶路撒冷啊，要抖下尘土！起来坐在位上！锡安被掳的居民哪，要解开你颈项的锁链！

她怎样荣耀自己，怎样奢华，也当叫她照样痛苦悲哀，因她心里说：‘我坐了皇后的位，并不是寡妇，决不至于悲哀。’

你使他的光辉止息，将他的宝座推倒于地。

少年人和老年人都在街上躺卧；我的处女和壮丁都倒在刀下；你发怒的日子杀死他们。你杀了，并不顾惜。

你自己说：“我必永为主母”，所以你不将这事放在心上，也不思想这事的结局。你这专好宴乐、安然居住的，现在当听这话。你心中说：“惟有我，除我以外再没有别的。我必不致寡居，也不遭丧子之事。”哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事在一日转眼之间必临到你；正在你多行邪术、广施符咒的时候，这两件事必全然临到你身上。

锡安城的长老坐在地上默默无声；他们扬起尘土落在头上，腰束麻布；耶路撒冷的处女垂头至地。

那时靠海的君王必都下位，除去朝服，脱下花衣，披上战兢，坐在地上，时刻发抖，为你惊骇。

约伯就坐在炉灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。

素来吃美好食物的，现今在街上变为孤寒；素来卧朱红褥子的，现今躺卧粪堆。

他们就同他七天七夜坐在地上，一个人也不向他说句话，因为他极其痛苦。

他又说：“受欺压西顿的居民哪，你必不得再欢乐。起来！过到基提去；就是在那里也不得安歇。”

你们中间，柔弱娇嫩的妇人，是因娇嫩柔弱不肯把脚踏地的，必恶眼看她怀中的丈夫和她的儿女。她两腿中间出来的婴孩与她所要生的儿女，她因缺乏一切就要在你受仇敌围困窘迫的城中将他们暗暗地吃了。

住在山穴中、居所在高处的啊，你因狂傲自欺，心里说：‘谁能将我拉下地去呢？’你虽如大鹰高飞，在星宿之间搭窝，我必从那里拉下你来。这是耶和华说的。

这信息传到尼尼微王的耳中，他就下了宝座，脱下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。

我必倾覆列国的宝座，除灭列邦的势力，并倾覆战车和坐在其上的。马必跌倒，骑马的败落，各人被弟兄的刀所杀。
