一切洼谷都当填满，大小山冈都要削平！弯弯曲曲的改为正直，高高低低的修成平坦！

一切深谷都要填满，一切山冈都要削平；险峻的要改为平地，崎岖的要改为平原。

听啊！山上有喧哗的声音，好像是众多的人民；听啊！有多国的人的嘈杂声，好像是列国聚集在一起。万军之耶和华正在数点军兵，预备打仗。他们从远地而来，从天边而来。就是耶和华和他恼怒的工具，要毁灭这全地。哀号吧！因为耶和华的日子近了，这日子来到，好像毁灭从全能者那里来到一样。因此，各人的手都必发软，各人也必心惊胆战。他们都要惊惶失措，疼痛与痛苦必抓住他们；他们必绞痛，像生产中的妇人一样。他们在惊愕中彼此对望，面色像火焰一般。看哪！耶和华的日子快来到，必有残忍、愤恨与烈怒，使这地荒凉，使其中的罪人灭绝。天上的星星和众星座不再发光；太阳刚出来就变为黑暗，月亮也不再发光。我必因世界的邪恶施行刑罚，也必因恶人的罪孽惩罚他们；我要使狂妄人的骄傲止息，使强暴人的狂傲降卑。我必使人比精金还少，使人比俄斐的金更稀罕。在万军之耶和华发怒的时候，就是我大发烈怒的日子，我要使天震动，大地必摇撼，离开本位。人必像被追猎的羚羊，又像无人招聚的羊群，各自归向本族，各自逃回本地。凡被追上的，必被刺死；凡被捉住的，必倒在刀下。他们的婴孩必在他们眼前被摔死；他们的房屋必被抢掠，他们的妻子必被污辱。看哪！我要激动玛代人来攻击他们。玛代人不重视银子，也不喜爱金子。
