I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”

I will sweep your sins away as if they were a cloud. I will blow them away as if they were the morning mist. Return to me. Then I will set you free.”

instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

But the things which God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;

and cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee; for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

We have transgressed and have rebelled; thou hast not pardoned.Thou hast covered with anger and pursued us; thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.

The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father,To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Should serve him without fear,

And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

Yea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture; He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah; And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith Jehovah.And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.

Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness.

As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, will he return unto her again? will not that land be greatly polluted? But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith Jehovah.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Yet, Jehovah, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me; forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight; but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thou with them in the time of thine anger.
