那麼我們既是上帝的族類，就不該以神性為彷彿金銀或石頭、人的手藝和心思所雕刻的。

那是恐怕你們敗壞自己，為自己造雕像、造任何雕塑物的形像、男的或女的模形、造任何地上的獸類的模形、任何飛在空中有翅膀的鳥兒的模形、任何在地上爬行的動物的模形、任何在地底下水中的魚的模形。

『「造永恆主所厭惡、匠人的手所作的雕像或鑄像，暗中立着的、那人必受咒詛」；眾民都要答應說：「阿們。」

至於你的神像呢，你在誰身上找着，誰就不該活着；當着我們弟兄面前、你認一認；在我這裏有甚麼是你的，你只管拿走。』雅各原不知道拉結偷了神像。
