以色列族之聖主耶和華曰、我欲救爾、遣人至巴比倫、毀諸門楗、迦勒底人駕舟、囂然不靖、終亦必亡。

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.

The Lord sets his people free. He is the Holy One of Israel. He says,“ People of Israel, I will send an army to Babylon to save you. I will cause all the Babylonians to run away. They will try to escape in the ships they were so proud of.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of.

This is what the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: Because of you, I will send an army to Babylon and bring all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans in the ships in which they rejoice.

This is what the Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:“ For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And will bring them all down as fugitives, Even the Chaldeans, into the ships over which they rejoice.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I will send to Babylon, And bring them all down as fugitives— The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.

Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: Because of you, I will send to Babylon and bring all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans in the ships in which they rejoice.

Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry[ is] in the ships.

This is what the LORD says, your protector, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and make them all fugitives, turning the Babylonians’ joyful shouts into mourning songs.

Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:“ For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

Look at the land of the Babylonians, this people that is now of no account! The Assyrians have made it a place for desert creatures; they raised up their siege towers, they stripped its fortresses bare and turned it into a ruin. (niv)

“ This is what the Lord says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. (niv)

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ See, I will stir up the spirit of a destroyer against Babylon and the people of Leb Kamai.I will send foreigners to Babylon to winnow her and to devastate her land; they will oppose her on every side in the day of her disaster.Let not the archer string his bow, nor let him put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; completely destroy her army.They will fall down slain in Babylon, fatally wounded in her streets.For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the Lord Almighty, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.“ Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves.Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand; she made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad.Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken. Wail over her! Get balm for her pain; perhaps she can be healed.“‘ We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to our own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the heavens.’“‘ The Lord has vindicated us; come, let us tell in Zion what the Lord our God has done.’“ Sharpen the arrows, take up the shields! The Lord has stirred up the kings of the Medes, because his purpose is to destroy Babylon. The Lord will take vengeance, vengeance for his temple. (niv)

“ Before your eyes I will repay Babylon and all who live in Babylonia for all the wrong they have done in Zion,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Kill all her young bulls; let them go down to the slaughter! Woe to them! For their day has come, the time for them to be punished.Listen to the fugitives and refugees from Babylon declaring in Zion how the Lord our God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.“ Summon archers against Babylon, all those who draw the bow. Encamp all around her; let no one escape. Repay her for her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has defied the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,” declares the Lord.“ See, I am against you, you arrogant one,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty,“ for your day has come, the time for you to be punished.The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her up; I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her.”This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ The people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go.Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon. (niv)

“ Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say,‘ Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.’A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both people and animals will flee away.“ In those days, at that time,” declares the Lord,“ the people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the Lord their God.They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.“ My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place.Whoever found them devoured them; their enemies said,‘ We are not guilty, for they sinned against the Lord, their verdant pasture, the Lord, the hope of their ancestors.’“ Flee out of Babylon; leave the land of the Babylonians, and be like the goats that lead the flock.For I will stir up and bring against Babylon an alliance of great nations from the land of the north. They will take up their positions against her, and from the north she will be captured. Their arrows will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed.So Babylonia will be plundered; all who plunder her will have their fill,” declares the Lord.“ Because you rejoice and are glad, you who pillage my inheritance, because you frolic like a heifer threshing grain and neigh like stallions, (niv)

“ This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself,who foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools of diviners, who overthrows the learning of the wise and turns it into nonsense,who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem,‘ It shall be inhabited,’ of the towns of Judah,‘ They shall be rebuilt,’ and of their ruins,‘ I will restore them,’who says to the watery deep,‘ Be dry, and I will dry up your streams,’who says of Cyrus,‘ He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please; he will say of Jerusalem,“ Let it be rebuilt,” and of the temple,“ Let its foundations be laid.”’“ This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, (niv)

But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel:“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. (niv)

All who handle the oars will abandon their ships; the mariners and all the sailors will stand on the shore.They will raise their voice and cry bitterly over you; they will sprinkle dust on their heads and roll in ashes.They will shave their heads because of you and will put on sackcloth. They will weep over you with anguish of soul and with bitter mourning.As they wail and mourn over you, they will take up a lament concerning you:“ Who was ever silenced like Tyre, surrounded by the sea?”When your merchandise went out on the seas, you satisfied many nations; with your great wealth and your wares you enriched the kings of the earth.Now you are shattered by the sea in the depths of the waters; your wares and all your company have gone down with you.All who live in the coastlands are appalled at you; their kings shudder with horror and their faces are distorted with fear.The merchants among the nations scoff at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’” (niv)

For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God.“ For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer. (niv)

“ The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore—cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble;cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves.“ They will say,‘ The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your luxury and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.’The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mournand cry out:“‘ Woe! Woe to you, great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’“ Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off.When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim,‘ Was there ever a city like this great city?’They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:“‘ Woe! Woe to you, great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’“ Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice, apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you.”Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:“ With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again. (niv)

And they sang a new song, saying:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. (niv)

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (niv)

“ Israel is a scattered flock that lions have chased away. The first to devour them was the king of Assyria; the last to crush their bones was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.”Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ I will punish the king of Babylon and his land as I punished the king of Assyria. (niv)

“ Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured us, he has thrown us into confusion, he has made us an empty jar. Like a serpent he has swallowed us and filled his stomach with our delicacies, and then has spewed us out.May the violence done to our flesh be on Babylon,” say the inhabitants of Zion.“ May our blood be on those who live in Babylonia,” says Jerusalem.Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ See, I will defend your cause and avenge you; I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.Babylon will be a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals, an object of horror and scorn, a place where no one lives.
