惟爾敵人、素使爾曲躬俯伏、俟其踰越而行、若遨遊於通衢、我必使彼飲焉。

俘囚欷歔、彼其聞之、人將就戮、彼其拯之兮。

爾曹忘我、當思余言、恐我毀爾、援手無人兮。

主耶和華又曰。昔我民往居埃及、後遭亞述人、無故虐遇、而我援之、今我民無因見虜、強暴之人、恆凟我名、譁然不靖、我將何以處之。

明瞽者之目、釋俘囚於獄、處幽暗者、出之於囹圄。

逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋穹蒼破隙、大地震基、

雖至日中、如處幽暗、遍捫不見、與瞽無異、爾凡所為、不獲亨通、恆被人虐取強據、不蒙拯救。爾將聘妻、而他人與寢、爾將建宅、而不遑居處、栽植園圃、不摘其果。人宰爾牛於爾前、爾不能食、人據爾驢於爾前、而不返爾、爾羊擄於敵、無人為援。爾子女擄於異邦、使爾終日瞻望、至於目盲、欲拯無力。爾之土產、爾之操作、將為爾素所未識之民並吞殆盡、爾將為人虐取、為人挾制、歷久如是。

古實遣使、以萑為舟、浮水沿河而至、我曰、歸哉歸哉、疾趨之、使爾故土之民、魁偉裸體、自古以來、有雄武之名、勇敢而戰必克、其國之河支派分流、

猶大王約雅斤被虜之三十七年、十二月二十五日、巴比倫王以未米羅達即位、乃出猶大王約雅斤於獄、

爾見軍環耶路撒冷、則知其亡無日矣、時在猶太者、當避於山、在京者宜去、在田者勿入、是譴責之日、記所載者應矣、斯時也、妊婦乳婦其有禍乎、蓋此地必有大災、怒及斯民、死於刀刃、擄於諸國、耶路撒冷為異邦人蹂踐、迨異邦人之期滿焉、○

希西家王十四年、亞述王、西拿基立、攻陷猶大諸邑、

爾地荒蕪、爾邑焚燬、異邦之人至、傾覆爾四境、吞食爾土產、俾爾目擊。

郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。

九年十月十日、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率師、至耶路撒冷、於其四周、建營築壘以攻擊、困苦其邑、至於西底家王十一年、四月九日、邑民糧罄饑甚。迦勒底人環攻其城、而陷之、武士出城、由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後至耶利哥之坦途、執之、

既近、見城、哭、曰、今猶為爾日、及是時、而知關爾平安之事、則幸、過此、隱於爾目矣、日至、敵必築壘環繞、四面困爾、夷爾及赤子、不遺石於石上、以爾不知眷顧之日也、○

我萬有之主耶和華、使古列、屹然而立、道途坦易、以彰我義、彼必復建我聖邑、釋我俘囚、不望賞賚。

以色列族若亡羊、為獅所驅、初為亞述王吞噬、後為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒折骨。
