爾雖為我耶和華所遣之僕、所愛之民、無如爾聾爾瞽、甚於諸人、

孰為瞽者、豈非我僕、孰聾如我所遣之使、孰瞽如我之良友、孰瞽如主之僕、

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the Lord?

The people of Israel serve me. But who is more blind than they are? Who is more deaf than the messengers I send? Who is more blind than the one who has promised to be faithful to me? Who is more blind than the servant of the Lord?

Who is blind but my servant, or deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is blind as my dedicated one, or blind as the servant of the Lord?

Who is as blind as my own people, my servant? Who is as deaf as my messenger? Who is as blind as my chosen people, the servant of the Lord?

Who is blind but my servant, or deaf like my messenger I am sending? Who is blind like my dedicated one, or blind like the servant of the LORD?

Who is blind but My servant, Or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, And blind as the LORD’s servant?

Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I send? who is blind as he that is at peace with me, and blind as Jehovah’s servant?

Who is blind but My servant, or deaf like My messenger I am sending? Who is blind like My dedicated one, or blind like the servant of the Lord?

Who[ is] blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger[ that] I sent? who[ is] blind as[ he that is] perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?

My servant is truly blind, my messenger is truly deaf. My covenant partner, the servant of the LORD, is truly blind.

Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Yahweh’s servant?

“ Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

‘ Now hear this, you foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see, Who have ears but do not hear.

And in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,‘ You shall keep on listening, but shall not understand; And you shall keep on looking, but shall not perceive;For the heart of this people has become dull, With their ears they scarcely hear, And they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their heart, and return, And I would heal them.’

For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery— so that you will not be wise in your own estimation— that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

“ He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, so that they will not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and be converted, and so I will not heal them.”

“ Woe to you, blind guides, who say,‘ Whoever swears by the temple, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple is obligated.’You fools and blind men! Which is more important, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?And you say,‘ Whoever swears by the altar, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the offering that is on it is obligated.’You blind men, which is more important, the offering or the altar that sanctifies the offering?Therefore, the one who swears by the altar, swears both by the altar and by everything on it.And the one who swears by the temple, swears both by the temple and by Him who dwells in it.And the one who swears by heaven, swears both by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now that you maintain,‘ We see,’ your sin remains.

Be delayed and horrified, Blind yourselves and be blind; They become drunk, but not with wine, They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink.For the Lord has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep, He has shut your eyes— the prophets; And He has covered your heads— the seers.The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which, when they give it to the one who is literate, saying,“ Please read this,” he will say,“ I cannot, because it is sealed.”Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying,“ Please read this.” And he will say,“ I cannot read.”Then the Lord said,“ Because this people approaches Me with their words And honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of the commandment of men that is taught;Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the understanding of their men who have understanding will be concealed.”

But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts;

The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.

Leave them alone; they are blind guides of blind people. And if a person who is blind guides another who is blind, both will fall into a pit.”Peter said to Him,“ Explain the parable to us.”Jesus said,“ Are you also still lacking in understanding?

“ For My people are foolish, They do not know Me; They are foolish children And have no understanding. They are skillful at doing evil, But they do not know how to do good.”

And Jesus, aware of this,* said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet comprehend or understand? Do you still have your heart hardened?Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember,

The Pharisees then replied to them,“ You have not been led astray too, have you?Not one of the rulers or Pharisees has believed in Him, has he?But this crowd that does not know the Law is accursed!”

“ But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend,

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the Law and boast in God,and know His will and distinguish the things that matter, being instructed from the Law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to people who are blind, a light to those in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the immature, possessing in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth—you, therefore, who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that one is not to steal, do you steal?You who say that one is not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who loathe idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God?

Confirming the word of His servant And carrying out the purpose of His messengers. It is I who says of Jerusalem,‘ She shall be inhabited!’ And of the cities of Judah,‘ They shall be built.’ And I will raise her ruins again.

And Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”

His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;

What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened;just as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, Eyes to see not and ears to hear not, Down to this very day.”And David says,“ May their table become a snare and a trap, And a stumbling block and a retribution to them.May their eyes be darkened to see not, And bend their backs continually.”

And He said,“ Go, and tell this people:‘ Keep on listening, but do not understand; And keep on looking, but do not gain knowledge.’
