但那倚靠雕刻的偶像，對鑄造的偶像說：「你是我們的神明」；這種人要退後，大大蒙羞。

但那些信靠雕刻的偶像、供奉金属铸像的必遭唾弃，羞愧难当。

那些倚靠偶像，对铸像说：“你们是我们的神”的，必被赶逐，全然蒙羞。

那些依靠雕刻的偶像，对铸造的偶像说‘你们是我们的神’的，都必向后退缩，大大蒙羞。

那倚靠雕刻之像的、那對鑄造的像說：『你們是我們的神』的，這種人必退後，全然蒙羞。

那些依靠雕刻的偶像，對鑄造的偶像說『你們是我們的神』的，都必向後退縮，大大蒙羞。

凡恃雕像、對鑄像云、爾為我神、必皆退而愧怍、○

凡恃偶像、稱金鑄之形為上帝者、必蒙愧怍、必駭而奔。

凡恃偶像、向金鑄之形像曰、爾乃我之神、此人必退後蒙羞、○

But those who trust in idols, who say to images,‘ You are our gods,’ will be turned back in utter shame.

Some people trust in statues of gods. They say to them,‘ You are our gods.’ But they will be dishonored. They will be put to shame.

They are turned back and utterly put to shame, who trust in carved idols, who say to metal images,“ You are our gods.”

But those who trust in idols, who say,‘ You are our gods,’ will be turned away in shame.

They will be turned back and utterly ashamed— those who trust in an idol and say to a cast image,‘ You are our gods!’

They will be turned back and be utterly put to shame, Who trust in idols, Who say to cast metal images,“ You are our gods.”

They shall be turned back, They shall be greatly ashamed, Who trust in carved images, Who say to the molded images,‘ You are our gods.’

They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, that trust in graven images, that say unto molten images, Ye are our gods.

They will be turned back and utterly ashamed— those who trust in idols and say to metal-plated images: You are our gods!

They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye[ are] our gods.

Those who trust in idols will turn back and be utterly humiliated, those who say to metal images,‘ You are our gods.’”

“ Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images,‘ You are our gods,’ will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.

願所有事奉雕刻偶像、靠虛無神明自誇的，都蒙羞愧。萬神哪，你們都當拜他。

那等人必因所喜愛的聖樹抱愧；你們必因所選擇的園子蒙羞，

看哪，他的同夥都必羞愧。工匠不過是人，任他們聚集，任他們站立吧！他們都必懼怕，一同羞愧。

然後又用剩下的一半做了一個神明，就是雕刻的偶像，向這偶像俯伏叩拜，向它禱告說：「求你拯救我，因你是我的神明。」

他們這麼快偏離了我所吩咐的道，為自己鑄了一頭牛犢，向它跪拜，向它獻祭，說：『以色列啊，這就是領你出埃及地的神明。』」

「賊被捉拿，怎樣羞愧，以色列家和他們的君王、官長、祭司、先知也都照樣羞愧。他們向木頭說：『你是我的父』；向石頭說：『你是生我的。』他們以背向我，不肯以面向我；及至遭遇患難時卻說：『起來拯救我們吧！』

亞倫從他們手裏接過來，用模子塑造它，把它鑄成一頭牛犢。他們就說：「以色列啊，這是領你出埃及地的神明！」

製造偶像的都要抱愧蒙羞，他們要一同歸於慚愧。惟有以色列必蒙耶和華拯救，得永遠的救恩。你們必不蒙羞，也不抱愧，直到永世無盡。

偶像有甚麼益處呢？製造者雕刻它，鑄成偶像，作虛假的教師；製造者倚靠的是自己所做的啞巴偶像。禍哉！那對木頭說「醒起」，對啞巴石頭說「起來」的人！偶像豈能教導人呢？看哪，它以金銀包裹，其中並無氣息。惟耶和華在他的聖殿中，全地都當在他面前肅靜。
