那時，公平必充滿曠野，公義必遍佈沃野。

基達的羊群必集合到你那裡，尼拜約的公羊必供你使用，牠們在我的壇上必蒙悅納。我要使我榮美的殿更榮美。

願他的疆域橫跨洋海，從幼發拉底河直到地極。願曠野的居民都來向他下拜，敵人都仆倒在塵土中。願他施、示巴和西巴的君王都來納貢稱臣。

瘸子必跳躍如鹿，啞巴必歡呼歌唱；曠野上泉水湧流，沙漠裡河川奔騰；

我要使光禿的山嶺上江河奔流，山谷中泉水湧流；我要使沙漠變成水塘，使乾地冒出泉水。我要在曠野栽香柏樹、皂莢樹、番石榴樹和橄欖樹。我要在沙漠種松樹、杉樹和黃楊樹。

看啊，傳喜訊、報平安的人穿山越嶺而來。猶大啊，慶祝你的節期，還你許的願吧！邪惡之人將不再侵擾你，他們都將被徹底毀滅。

耶和華對我說：「如同雇工合約規定的做工年限，一年之內，基達所有的榮耀必消失，

摩押人從西拉穿過曠野，來到錫安城的山，把羊羔獻給那裡的掌權者。

我寄居在米設和基達的人當中有禍了！

那穿山越嶺之人的腳蹤是何等佳美！他帶來佳音，報告平安，傳遞喜訊，宣佈救恩，對錫安說：「你的上帝做王了。」

耶和華對她說：「你腹中有兩個國家，你要生出兩個敵對的民族，一族要比另一族強大，將來大的要服侍小的。」

看啊，我要行一件新事，這事現在就要發生，難道你們沒有察覺嗎？我要在曠野闢道路，在沙漠開江河。

摩押人啊，你們要離開城邑，住到岩洞裡，像鴿子在岩縫裡築巢一樣。

聽啊，有人高喊：「在曠野預備耶和華的道，在沙漠修直我們上帝的路。

沙漠和乾旱之地必歡喜；曠野必快樂，開滿鮮花，

你這棲身在石縫間、盤踞在高山上的民族啊，你令人驚懼、心高氣傲，其實只是自欺。儘管你像老鷹在高處搭窩，我也必把你拉下來。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華說，耶路撒冷啊，你座落在山谷之上，如平原的磐石，自以為無人能攻擊你，無人能闖入你的住處。但我要攻擊你，

你住在懸崖峭壁間，住在高山上，自以為誰也不能把你拉下來，但你的驕傲欺騙了你。
